Or at least a frequent poster about the Mavs before the Sonics became the Thunder.

Dude showed me where the Mavs message board was on Ezboard and everything.

Lawton and OKC aint close? It takes me 70 minutes to get to the OKC Arena from my house and it's damn near a straight shot. Not counting coming out the driveway, it is 2 turns then just another 1 once you get there to get off the interstate and park. It takes me about 240 minutes to get to Dallas and I always get pulled over by racist cops just South of Wichita Falls. Dudes pulled me and the hommie over on foot one time walking out of the gas station, made us sit on the curb while they ran or ids and #%&* then sumvabitch followed us for like a whole hr before finally hitting a U in one of those random small cities like Muenster or something.

I think Chandler and Butler are back next season. Barea worries me. I want him back, but I have a feeling someone is going to overpay him. Sort of the same situation with Brandon Bass from a few years back.

I dont think we see Stevenson back next season. From the people I talked to, they are saying DoJo could fill that position next season. The Mavs staff has been happy with what they have seen from Dominique since recovering from his foot injury.

I wish the Mavs would give Calathes a shot...and try and trade Roddy B...

I didn't know either.

Dude hopped because a team moved within an hour of him, you best believe no Lakers fan would do that crap if they had a new team come into town,

The reason I want Caron back is because he's a two-way player. Without him (and definitely without Stevenson), we have a HUGE gaping hole @ the 2.

Think about it, what's the two-guard rotation next year without Caron or Stevenson?

JET, and Beaubois? That's it. Dominique Jones too if one of those guys go down? Yikes...

dfeschuk: Colangelo says Rick Carlisle called at 130 am on night Mavs won title to recommend Casey for job.

Wow. That's classy. Casey will be missed, glad I got to see him work with the boys up-close one time, he definitely seemed like a guy everyone on the team liked.

the second most important player on the mavericks will always be jason terry. he shows up and the mavericks more times than not win. hes the closest thing to a second option the mavericks have gotten with the dirk era..

The third would probably be Kidd....

I agree with your JET point, but JapanAir has a legit point about Chandler. He is the main reason for the Mavs improvements on defense. Dallas doesnt win the title if they dont play the type of defense they played this season.

If JET got hurt I think they could replace him easier than they could replace Tyson.

I definitely

when I saw them celebrating with that belt.

I really am genuinely happy to see those two get along so well.

When we got Haywood last year, I was really worried. With the fighting between Etan Thomas and Haywood, I thought, hell, this could be a disaster. Then we re-signed him to a huge contract, but bring in Tyson? I was really worried at the beginning of the season the two would clash.

But by every indication I've seen, they embrace each others presence on the team, makes them both strive to get better, play harder, and defend better. That's one luxury I love having on this team, if Tyson gets in foul trouble, then we have a legit 7' back-up that provides almost as good defense, who isn't just a giant stiff all the time (Dampier).

It's goddamn expensive on our cap, but I loved having both of them this year.

Apparently, if the Mavericks aren't able to re-sign Barea, then they will call up Nick Calathes and have him join the roster. Obviously he'd be competing with Beaubois for minutes, but I'd like to see what Calathes can bring to the team, but I don't think he can replicate what Barea can do.

I think the three guys most likely to re-sign are Chandler, Cardinal, and Peja (the latter two just because they'd be cheap, just coming off championship wins, they are vets).
