OFFICIAL 2015-2016 College Football Season Thread

Texas people seem to believe they're more in it with Wilson than what others think. His teammate Little is considered a UT lean.

Because both coaches are on the hot seat depending on who or what you read.

Lots of croots in Texas are holding off because of just that.

Spot on... If A&M or Texas has a big year on the field, it'll change the landscape in a big way...

Dudes are holding out waiting for one of them to justify they're worth a damn.

I don't see either of those teams having a good year but if any it'd be Texas

Sumlin had his flash in the pan with Manziel and will probably be gone once he has another trash season

(STATS) -- With the national spotlight on FCS college football growing, the Ohio Valley and Southland conferences say there should be more regular season games.

The two conferences announced Thursday their plan to propose legislation for a permanent 12th regular-season game in the FCS. Their proposal will be submitted into the 2016-17 NCAA Division I legislative cycle.

FCS programs are restricted to 11 regular-season games in most seasons -- one game fewer than the FBS. They are permitted a 12th game only in years when there are 13 weekends between Labor Day weekend and the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. It last occurred in 2014, and will occur only four times over the next 15 seasons -- in 2019, '24, '25 and '30.

OVC commissioner Beth DeBauche and Southland commissioner Tom Burnett released a joint statement announcing the proposal: "The 12th game proposal gives FCS programs additional opportunities for non-conference contests, including games against FBS competition, and a better chance to secure six home games in a yearly schedule.

"Additionally, this proposal allows more flexibility in non-conference scheduling for leagues that have recently expanded and have more conference games. This proposal would also provide more potential non-conference FCS games for the Division I NCAA Football Committee to better determine berths and seeding for the FCS playoffs."

Oregon finally offered Tua Tagovailoa. Writing is on the wall though. They didn't really (and possibly still don't really) want him.

Their QB recruiting is strange when you consider the number of dual threat guys who beg them for offers and get ignored.

I read something from Justin Hopkins at 247 that basically said that they thought that the holdup on him getting an offer was that they thought that he was dumb? Pretty insulting, but he also said that he expected him to flip to Oregon.

Najee Harris just took a surprise official to Auburn. I don't think he's gonna stick with Bama but visiting their #1 rival is gonna bring the lulz on tide Twitter.

Keldrick Carper to A&M...

Looks like there's a strong chance they end up with the IMG kids, too... Marchiol, Ausbon and Mond.

Martell's better than him right now but Tate is 19 and may have already peaked. Tate has more of a chance to start right away and he's so good he will succeed anywhere he goes, but he probably won't be a 4 year starter at a P5 that has recruited well at the position. And I think most QBs feel they can eventually beat out the 5'10" dude who can't ever take snaps from under center.

Then again look at Vernon Adams.

Baylor is actually going to bring Briles back... :x

On the grounds "he wasn't properly educated on how to handle instances of rape and sexual assault."

Disgusting.

"Art, several of your players have assaulted women on campus. Some of the victims have come forward and said they've been raped..."

Art: ...[emoji]129300[/emoji] ... "Was that covered in new hire orientation or outlined in the employee handbook? No? Well alright then."

Baylor didn't have a Title 9 official on staff until recently. They didn't educate staff or even students on the proper way to deal with sexual assault until recently.

This smells of them realizing they had a huge lawsuit on their hands/realizing the football program would disintegrate.

It's also a complete lack of foresight/awareness. They're admitting they didn't properly teach staff how to deal with sexual assault? So they're admitting to the prima facie case in the lawsuits that all the victims of un-investigated sexual assaults on campus will ultimately bring?
