You have ZERO objectivity on this subject.

I do...

One thing about me....I can hate on a player for a myriad of reasons....but I won't front on them from an objective standpoint. I just won't

16 Curry 14KD and 13 Bron had the rare combination of team success and equally as mindblowing stats....with far greater effiecenfy and less usage (and less stat hunting)

I have always been a support of Russ throughout his career, but this is the NBA.  There are a lot of great talents who if you said "You take the ball and do whatever it takes to get the best possible stats you can", will put up very good numbers.  The challenging thing is elevating your team and winning games and competing for a championship.

If your team is just okay, I'll always ask if getting those numbers is truly the best thing you could be doing for your team.

It's definitely wild to look at from a pure stats perspective.  Very few players could do what he's doing.  But it just doesn't represent best-of-the-best play to me.

He still won 50 games that season

So now it's 50 games? Bob McAdoo won it in 75 winning 49 games. And Nash also didn't have a top 3 record? Another exception. Like I said there's no iron clad rule or criteria. Just whatever the media arbitrarily comes up with.

It's just as silly if they deny him MVP if OKC gets 48 wins instead of 50 as it was Broussard saying if he averages 9.9 assists he won't get his 1st place vote but if it's over 10 he will.

The Suns were the #1 and #2 seeds in the West the years Nash won.  The criteria might be arbitrary but its pretty damn ironclad.

If you believe players on non-contending teams should have a chance at MVP I respect your position, though I don't agree with you.  But there hasn't been an exception for at least 30 years.

I think the last one that is an actual exception to the 3 seed rule is like Moses Malone?  Not sure.

Is there a cutoff for you for the amount of wins his team has to have?

13 LeBron: 27/8/7 on 56/40/75: Miami wins 66 games
14 KD: 32/7/5 on 50/39/87: OKC wins 59 games....with Russ missing almost half of the season.
16: Curry 30/7/5 on 50/45/91 (400 3s) GSW wins 73 games.

First of all, no one said there's a rigid rule in place set for MVP voting. It's all subjective, but the rule of thumb for most voters is having a top record and usually in most cases, having over 50 wins would put you in good shape to have a top record.

McAdoo winning it with 49 games is still impressive, because he was a top 3 seed team in his conference.

The Thunder may not even get home court advantage. If Russell does win the MVP, the NBA would have to wait almost a week and half into the second round(if he makes it out) to give him the MVP at home :lol

if we're gonna factor in Usage & team records into this don't you think some slack should be given that all three you mentioned were playing with future HOF'ers in their prime's & russ second best player was a sixth man to Evan Fournier last year?

As far as stat stuffing, his is no more egregious than any other superstar who does it, and his "stat padding" leads to a winning percentage of 80%. his usage isn't a choice it's necessary in order for him to keep his team in the game.

48 I think. That would require them to go 10-5 down the stretch. That's a 7 game drop off from last season, likely a 5 seed and having a historic season all while losing the 2nd best player in the world from the year before.

14 KD put that Thunder team on his back.....while Russ was missing games and trying to recover from an injury.

Russ stat padding is much more egregious than other star players. Much much more. Even the Westbrook fans can admit this.

That ***** LeBron really COULD average a triple double if he wanted to. Think about that for a second.

The Clippers have I think the easiest schedule in the entire league from here on out.

The Thunder are not getting up to the 5th seed. I'll clash anyone $150 right now on the Westbrook MVP thing. League is pretty cut and dry when it comes to wins + performance with the MVP award. Especially with guys like Bron, Kawhi, and Harden being equally as impressive. They aren't giving it to a player on the 6th best team in the conference.

Draymond Green, Harden, KD and some other guys I'm forgetting can average triple doubles if they really wanted to. But they take a step back for the sake of the team.
