in 99% of scenarios the only thing that matters about positions is who you gaurd.



Nikola Jokic can bring the ball up the court all he wants, but he gaurds 5's so he's a 5.

If a guy plays 20,000 career minutes and for 15,000 he's guarding 3's but for 5,000 minutes he guards pg what's his primary objective on defense lemme know

People keep brining up the super elite perimeter defender who gets tasked with guarding the other teams best perimiter player as if it somehow invalidates this rule.

it doesn't, it falls into the 1%.
