You dont want Kyrie being the best player on your team unless he's playing the 2 and you got somebody else running the squad...

Kyrie running the team himself at point is a disaster

According to people not authorized to speak publicly, George, a Palmdale native, is still telling friends that he intends to be a Laker in 2018. Because of that, he knows the Lakers have little incentive to trade for him now. – via Los Angeles Times

Winning changes everything.

Those things helped absolutely but now he's established himself and in the prime of his career. People aren't going to stop liking him and buying his shoes because he switched teams.

Right not to mention he was making AS games before LBJ got there if i'm not mistaken. He made at least one.

A lot easier making the ASG in the East

What's the likelihood of PG going to a team that makes it to the Conference Finals or Finals, then going to the Lakers next season? Especially if him going to the Lakers will just leave him in a worse position.

I don't see why he would leave a losing situation in Indy to go to another in LA...if he's serious about winning.

definitely possible. Laker side is counting on him coming over because he wants to play in LA while the other side says he'll start winning games, perhaps get into the Finals, and love it so much that he'll re-up.

I don't think PG is a "I need to win" kind of guy, so i still think he leans strongly towards the Lakers.

well, the Lakers future looks much brighter than Indiana;s, so there's that. And he's probably pretty confident another star will join him, which we probably agree with him. Someone else will join him.

99%

He's been to the conference finals before. Only way I see him staying anywhere where he's a rental is if he wins a chip. And that place would only be in GS.

The man has said over and over he'll be a mercenary for this year anywhere butt then he's out.

Only other superstar I can see going to the Lakers would be Westbrook.

Winning what exactly? Unless he goes to the Warriors he ain't winning nothing anyway.

If Paul George and Hayward both go to the Celtics they're winning the East and going to the Finals. We've already had this convo before but until he proves me wrong no one in their right mind is leaving a team after one season with them and going to the Finals and winning probably close to 60 games for one of the worst teams in the league in the prime of their career. I'll believe it when I see it.

Boston CAN get a lot of things, wouldn't be the least bit shocked if they end up with neither though cause of Ainge.

lol i highly doubt russ leaving man. love is addictive. okc shows that man hella love. he'll have a statue there.

Winning changes everything.
You guys are making a lot of assumptions that all players put winning above everything.  That's just not true.  Some players like LeBron and KD do.

Paul George?  If winning was #1 he wouldn't be trying to go to the Lakers in the first place.

Same for Melo, he would rather have $$ and live in NYC.  He made that decision a long time ago and has doubled down on it.
