That whole defensive lapse is on Kuzma...he got beat. Simple as that, the screen from Harrell had already passed he got caught flat footed and Gallo got away from him and instead of talking to let Bron know he's beat he pushed him. SO that play 110% is on Kuzma.

The Phil Jackson skill...N Calapari be doing the same thing on the college level, wonder if he would give the league another shot with what he knows now
Cal would be a fool to try the NBA now. Teams have too much invested in these players. Coaches have little to no leverage anymore. Cal likes being in control. Managing a bunch of entitled mental midgets with agendas would have Cal stroking out. At least he can bench players and cost them draft stock at the college level.

Would be fun to watch though.

If you're 'guarding' somebody by playing 15 feet off of them, that means you're not guarding them and you're supposed to be helping. Otherwise he's just standing there doing nothing and getting in the way

Dual responsibility there. Bron guarding Harrell but you still switch that with 1 sec left on the clock

kuz sucks on D, bron wasn't fully engaged, and bad communication overall
I can agree with this. It wasn’t 100% Bron’s fault though. And it def started with Kuzma getting beat.

Because Bron was in the damn way. Guard who's in front of you. It was bron's job to help and close out there. There's a guy right in front of you and his assignment can't get there, it becomes your assignment
You done turned into MVP. It’s really sad to see.

This is an obvious two for one shot
idk how people turned bron doing that 2 for 1 (which he rarely does) as a sign of poor effort. actually a pretty smart play. bad defense by harrell too. even if you pick up balll pressure and he blows by you, at least you most likely eliminate the 2 for 1. instead, no ball pressure all the way to let bron walk into a practice 3 pointer could've been a decent momentum swing for the lakers. they still probably would've lost tho

Paul George before injury wasn’t a world beater. He was a 2X all star in the very weak East....on a team with multiple vets where he averaged over 20ppg only one season before being hurt

He shot 42% from the field both of those seasons

Gordon Hayward year by year...was developing into that player level George was at during the time leading up to George’s injury...on a very young rebuilding Utah team in the west.

That’s where the “Black Gordon Hayward” talk came from. Up until this year...they were essentially the same level of player once Hayward broke out in 2014.

This is the same thing that Lebron fans do when defending him, your better than this.

Before the Injury PG was the main player on a Pacers team who finished with 49 wins & 56 wins respectively the two seasons prior to Injury, And was battling with Lebron, Wade & Bosh in the conference finals two years in a row. Hayward at that point hadn't averaged more than 16 ppg and was on a non playoff team. Let's not forget to mention that he was All NBA & 2X All defense prior to the injury.

Outside of the injury year PG & Gordon were never the same "level" player, i called it ridiculous when it was said in here then (also not lost on me that that narrative started to really ramp up in here, when PG was making it seem like he was a lock to end up in LA) & it looks even more ridiculous now.

Prior to the Injury one guy hadn't put up more than 16 ppg on non playoff teams.... the other was an all NBA, All Defense, first option on a team that was battling the heat for a chance to go to the Finals.

There should have never been a comp in the first place.

Hayward was progressing every year in his career then got a well deserved pay day. It's ignorant to say they weren't comparable players because of revisionist history.
