Official 2019 NYK offseason thread. Brooklyn knick fans check in

I think the Knicks are still all in on KD, I do not want to see KD on the court for an entire year if we do sign him. Playoffs or get hot down the stretch, I don't want to see him.

I don't want Kemba at all. Not letting the hometown hero cloud my mind. He's a good player but not worth the max.

It won’t matter if you want to see him or not. He won’t be able to be on the court for an entire year regardless :lol

That's not true, players have come back and played after 9 months. No matter who we get, if we somehow got AD and Kawhi, I still wouldn't want to see KD back for the playoffs.

No, I don't think we're getting all three or even two of them.

I can assure you he’ll be out an entire year

werd... KD will be more cautious this time so he wont re-injure himself...i just dont see the point in signing KD if hes going to be out a year... can i wait a year obviously im used to the knicks losing... but why give max salary and a big contract maybe 2-3 years to somebody that is coming off a serious injury? by the time he gets back on the court he will be 32 which is near the end of his prime... he probably has 2-3 good years left but thats a lot to ask from KD once he comes back from the injury to get back to his old self and compete for a championship... kinda unrealistic expectations really especially since rarely anyone has came back and was good after an Achilles injury except for dominique...

gsw and a few of their players put pressure on kd
kd is a mental ****** for succumbing to that pressure and wanting to be the hero

gotta throw your money at someone in their 20s.
maxing out a 30 something year old is dumb especially after a career altering injury

i'm ruined

Exactly..... it sucks, but that’s it in a nutshell.

I don’t believe it for a second

No one as good as Durant has ever suffered this injury.

It's unfair to say he'll turn into a 19 PPG guy cause Wes Matthews hasn't looked good.

Most people base the sentiment on where each player returns in regards to their former selves. Kobe was pretty good.

Agreed

Durant needs to be given full time to heal up without being pressured to come back

Dominique Wilkins had Achilles tear at 31. He averaged 28, 30, 26, 24 and 29 in five seasons after returned from his injury

yeah...I still want kd. I know, I know...
its tough. smh. not sure what I would do if I were in that position. its a huge risk and I want to win.

According to Woj, KD still has zero plans of opting in this summer

Makes sense.

It'd be another year of constant questions and speculation while working with a medical team he may have lost trust in.

Not for nothing, I'll take a 75% KD over a lot of dudes out there.

Dude will still be able to get up and shoot. I wouldn't put him to defend anyone significant.
