I don't want KD because he just tore his ACL and will probably be making at or around $50 million for the final two years of whatever max deal he signs.

I don't want 75% of KD for 75% of a 4 year contract for 100% of a supermax deal. That's just not smart.

What happens if there isn't a bunch of crazy growth over the next few years, and the cap jumps slow down? Now we got 75% of KD taking up 75% of our cap. Nah, b.

I just want y'all to go look at the stats and career arc of other HoF players after achilles injuries.

Take Chauncey Billups, Patrick Ewing and Kobe Bryant for a sample size.

If you think they were too old, remember that Demarcus Cousins was 27 when he tore his. Look at him now.

Why would you want to tie up long term cap space for a diminished big name? What is the benefit of that? We forgetting about Amar'e riding the bench for 3 seasons and handicapping our flexibility already?

nobody is denying KD talent... obviously if went here that would be the best talent we ever had since ewing... but you really going to pay a max contract to a player who has an achilles injury which is one of the worst injuries in basketball... its no guarantee he will come back to be prime KD again after he recovers... why not try to sign kawhi instead? he would be a better option and to be honest we have the same chances of signing him as KD

If I'm Perry and Mills, I'm calling Kawhi as soon as the phone lines open up, and not expecting much more than a respectful rejection.
