This is true, but there's no way they harmed their teams more than Russ does, not with his level of inefficiency

Eye don’t think Stockton had a better finals than Russ did when they were clear cut #2s.

what Russ did as the #1 is different. That wasn’t “winning basketball”

So when scoring is at a premium and the most important single aspect of basketball, especially in the playoffs. AND you have the ability to do it at an extremely efficient level and you just flat out decide not to do it not based on anything the opposition does, that's not harming your team more or at least as equally?

So John Stockton shooting once in a half of a NBA Finals or Nash refusing to take shots when he's a multiple time 50/40/90 wasn't actively destroying their teams chances when it mattered?
Nash didnt refuse to take shots. He dropped 48 in the playoffs before. He just chose to involve his very talented teammates and run a team offense, an extremely effective team offense. Which has literally nothing to do with why Phoenix couldn’t get over the hump.

Right now Westbrook is playing sub replacement level at every facet of the game, and this isn’t the first time. He’s very possibly the worst 3 point shooter in nba history in terms of impact.

Your point is so incoherent it’s like arguing with a Trump supporter, different planet ****.

Nash literally out of his own mouth said he should have taken more shots in the playoffs.

Russ has had big scoring nights in the playoffs as well. 44 in the Finals I believe.

Trumpism is creating alternative facts, which you are the party that's guilty of at this juncture.

the game plan in the playoffs against the suns a lot of the times was to not help and make Nash beat you. He’ll tell you he could have been more aggressive. He wasn’t Stockton bad where he flat out was just running the offense for no reason but still.

stockton tricked y’all into thinking that’s how the PG position is supposed to be played

As dumb as Russ should’ve played football and Russ is going to end his career top 10, the lakers somehow being an underdog is the dumbest thing going on in here. Being the 1 seed and playing some underdog angle reeks of loser mentality.

It's kind of like looking back at Kobe's stats and saying he wasn't efficient enough.

Yes it's technically true,

but given that the entire era was less efficient in comparison to his contemporaries his efficiency was fine.

Nash probably could have been proto-Steph, sure. But that’s not the point. The offense he ran as a pass first PG was extremely effective and Nash was incredibly effective in that role. It’s not why they lost in the playoffs. Meanwhile you’re comparing him to a player who is actively hurting his team by shooting horrendously and making bad decisions.

Nash should have shot more? Yeah probably.

but in the end, they had the best offense in the history of the league by a gaint margin.

Given the era Nash's lack of aggression as a scorer wasn't preventing them from winning a chip.
For an entire decade Nash led teams were the best offenses in the league
You can't convince me he contributed to winning less than Russell Westbrook

im taking Nash over westbrook. I’m saying Nash could have been more aggressive too, which he backs up. I’m saying not shooting hurts your team too.
