Are we wrong to assume that MSU is offering him $9.5M per year? What if it’s backloaded with the assumption that ten years from now it’ll be around the average coach’s salary, and if he’s still there in ten years he would have lived up to expectations and if he hasn’t they can void the deal and get him out of there without paying all of the $95M?

The number sounded like a lot to me then I remembered that there are people renting luxury suites in the coliseum for $2M+ annually and then don't even go to the games, so finding 10 people in Miami who need to wash a few mil probably isn't the most difficult thing.

I think USC is Aranda's choice A if they want him. He's a southern california native so it'd be a homecoming, though he grew up a ucla fan so maybe that's his dream job. Still if they string him along and other offers are juicy who knows. I think he only leaves Baylor for SC or LSU right now.
Side note, remember when I said 2 years ago Aranda approached Bohn/Helton about jumping from LSU for SC's open DC job because he disliked Ed O? I got roasted to hell then a month later he left for Baylor.
