My guess would be both scenarios could be true. You go from TX, SC and then KU that is a drastic drop off and some KU 'insiders' themselves believed that he probably would never make it on campus here.
Insider confirmed it was a different legal incident that occurred over the summer/fall that caused SC to drop in. Said while he’s innocent until proven guilty, that he’s had more than one run in with the law recently and “there’s a pattern of behavior that could end his football career before it gets started.”

Got arrested a couple weeks ago for under 2oz of weed possession...
Then got suspended by the school - nobody knows for what. Maybe the arrest but that feels like it wouldn’t make sense.

Immature as hell. Got arrested on a weed charge (0.01 ounces - laughable), but was supposedly initially pulled over because he was going 100 on the highway. Lots of other little things that have kept him in Jimbo’s doghouse until he grows up.
Feel like it’s probably going to take a Von Miller-type moment for him to end up amounting to much.

Jimbo basically said in a presser this week “he’s not with us til he is” and said he wasn’t sure when that would be... didn’t even have any idea when his judicial hearing or whatever with the school would be - or even it if would happen before spring ball.Kinda made it sound like they’re not going out of their way to speed things up for him.
It’s been grades, playing time, he took two weeks off during the season for what was rumored to be considering transferring, now the arrest.
Head ain’t in it. Supposedly the kinda dude that doesn’t want help, either.

Very few people thought he would end up on campus here so that is wild that homie keeps fumbling the ball. He is headed straight for Last Chance U territory...or worse. Hate to see young men, especially young black men throw their lives away.

Idk about picking him at 3, but I remember telling y'all all last offseason that Mac could ball, when just about everyone in this thread thought Bryce Young was going to walk in there and take that job.
