Same energy as "ain't gonna be no more layups"

I been said this earlier in the season buddy has not improved since his rookie season. He has gotten worse y’all talking about his defensive improvement and his pick setting 🤣🤣🤣 but doc rivers has him out of the dunkers spot and we don’t got Bret no more 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. At least some of y’all finally admitting Ben gots to go

I think Ben is worth a try in Portland.
They’ve been craving someone to play that Draymond role with Dame for years and Ben is the closest thing they can get.

At this point tho, I’m not even sure that Ben is enough to get CJ :lol

The Hawks literally just won with a backcourt of Ice Tray and Lou Will last night against a team with 3 All-Defense players

Offense >>>

Good luck to the Hawks winning anything in the future playing a backcourt of Trae & Lou Will    .

Since 2010 there have been three teams who made the Finals w/o a top 10 defense.

2019 Warriors - They just had arguably the three best shooters of all time
2018 Cavs - Just happen to have someone who some call the greatest player of all time
2012 Thunder (11th) - Team had three guys who became MVP

Those teams went a combined 3-12 in their finals matchups.... but yea

If you get rid of CJ for Ben, Portland still isn't going anywhere
Ben Simmons can't be your 2nd best player
He can't get you a bucket when you need one the most
And his playmaking isn't anywhere near good enough to justify that role
All them Lebron comparisons were way off, he aint got it like that

But Dray only looks good if he got Steph and Klay, CJ is the Klay in Portland.

There must be someone else that has u guys obsessed with Simmons. Idk what it is its just the same bs in here everyday. Completely ignoring the fact that their actual scorer dropped 4.

Those other teams in the finals are built around Steph Curry and Lebron James, 2 of the greatest offensive players we will ever see.

It’s not that defense doesn’t matter. It does. It’s that a certain type of defense is no longer valuable deep in the playoffs.

You cannot play drop coverage in the playoffs. IMO you just can’t. The remaining offenses are way too good.

You’re best defensive players also have to contribute on offense. If the opposing team is going small, Gobert has to make the 6’5” players PAY. He has to seal and score easy buckets around the rim. A high percentage hook or something. Anything. At least try.

They had to take Simmons off the floor because hack-a-Ben ****s up the entire flow and rhythm of the offense every time.

Prime Dwight was every bit the defensive player Rudy was (he was better tbh) but he was also giving you like 20-30 points a night. You can win with that. The magic would’ve won with that + surrounding him with shooters until they ran into Kobe Bryant.

The days of playing defensive players who can’t contribute anything to offense and expecting to win a ring are over.

But Dray only looks good if he got Steph and Klay, CJ is the Klay in Portland.

Norman Powell shot like 41% on 6 three point attempts this year. They can survive with him in the Klay role.

Both teams have to try something different because what they’re doing Rn isn’t working.

Imagine defending a guy that missed 10 free throws
So hack a Ben instead of defend him?

Definitey gotta be something more to it. Maybe it's cause hes Australian idk. Almost everyday folks in here are rewording the same nonsense about him. It's like if people came in here everyday to complain about kyrie irving not being a shot blocker. Doesn't make any sense u guys are clearly infatuated with the man for one reason or another.

Guys like Rudy Gobert are having big years. But we all know this is happening because the Warriors aren't in contention. You put a small line-up out there with 5 guys who can all dribble, pass, and shoot--It's BBQ for Rudy. He'll find himself out in the perimeter, with the paint WIDE open for those back doors or easy layups.

Kind of crazy how the league shifted when 1 team isn't playing in the post season. First time in years we see big men having meaningful contributions to a team.

I do agree that the Jazz need Rudy to score more points, if they intend to win. The offenses in today's NBA are just too potent. Everyone can shoot now. You can't have 1 player who principally only scores off dives and put backs.
