Official BBQ thread

Went well. Overcooked just a bit...learned some lessons on this with the grill grates but it did help once I cranked the Masterbuilt 560 up to 700.

Good grill grates y’all recommend for a 22” performer?

They have some 22.5 but you really don't need the grates to cover the entire grill imo

Those are the ones I used tonight.

Is that a convection cooktop? If so how do you like it, wife and I are planning on replacing ours with the new Samsung convection cooktop. Tip of the hat to you sir for the Crown Peach.
You ask and you shall receive. These are just various pics from the time I’ve moved in til the present.

Last year I put grass seeds down, but after a few straight days of down pours, they washed away. I have to try it again this year.

I have to finish sanding the old paint off and apply new stain. After that, patio furniture.

Did you rake the loose dirt up then put down the seeds, followed by manure? You can also get the Scotts Patchmaster, place it then water. Looks like you are going to be in for a headache with so many trees, get a owl statue to try and curbed some of the birds. All suggestions, consider putting mulch around the deck because with some insect deterrent plants and bushes. Nice house man.

Thanks man. Yea I loosened the dirt and mixed in some scotts soil with it, and mixed in the seed. You can’t tell from the pics but I’m on a hill and we had some pretty bad down pours one weekend, which caused it to wash down the hill.

In the market for a new grill, I've always had charcoal grills but I am thinking of getting a natural gas grill since our new house came with a line on the back patio. what would you guys recommend?

do you just wanna grill some food outdoor or do you wanna impart a charcoal/Smokey flavor?

if you just like grilling food outside then yeah.

First attempt at smoking some chicken

Didn’t put enough charcoal at first so I wasted like 45 min with the food doing nothing because it wasnt holding the temperature well. I also ordered wood chunks too cause today I could only find chips, gonna see what’s better ..Learned from today and going to try some more again later this week :nthat:

these are garlic powder, oregano, cayenne, paprika, salt and pepper
