I’m pretty sure is a learning curve for everyone, some of you did good and jumped on this before it blew up, that’s great for you guys, what exactly is wrong with helping those of us out that are just starting? Nothing wrong with holding the hand of a fellow NTer through the process so we all have a chance at flourishing, that’s what this community is for isn’t it? Like I said earlier, I have really good knowledge into photography and I for one have spoon fed Friends of mine with pleasure when they showed interest in this field...I actually took pride in it

Any of you guys invest in stocks/real estate as well?

I love crypto's but its opened my eyes to not just ICO investing and HODL'ing but also pushed my long time interest in investments/stocks in general.

I've had robinhood for a few months now, but I've taken more to ICO's. I want to continue to make my money work for me.

I'm not big on real estate, but maybe on day i'll take my talents to souch beach on that as well

Mainly been investing in stocks for my retirement accounts.

Is a pain at first but I’m getting the hang of it...I’m just gonna spread out and diversify my portfolio...just doing it for the fun/thrill of it tbh

Not saying you’re wrong, but people in here don’t want to be liable to financial advice that might go bad.
No one is going to tell you “buy this, it’s good for you”.

You can pick up signs on here though when people say, “hey look at X, they have ___ plan going for them” or “hey, there’s a dip going on at X”

I wouldn’t rely on much insights on NTers here anyway tbh
Just use reddit, Google, youtube, learn about cryptocurrencies you’re interested in, read up on the news, and make your own judgement, because you might be able to pick up on something that NTers here may miss.

However, I would say this, if you wasting money gambling or buying materialistic ****, I would rather spend on stocks and other investments now.

I’m known to always spend money on materialistic ****, toys, sneakers, things that have turned out to sort of be an investment because I’ve actually sold for More than I bought...this is pretty much the same **** just seems more direct and fun...I don’t mind dropping 50$ here, 100$ there and just sitting on it, **** dips oh well...I’ve wasted money on worst things...we hit gold...mannnnnn

I think the biggest thing is just like EddieDoyers said though, you'll get the "do your research" response a lot because nobody wants to be liable for your financial decisions.

I'm not saying you or anyone else in here are gullible enough to make financial decisions based on the word of someone else on the internet, but there are people out there who are, and I'm sure someone out there would put $1000 into dogecoin if you told them to

My advice would be to look at coinmarketcap.com, get a feel for the differen't companies on there, do some reading on which ones you think are good investments and then watch whats moving and whats not.

Once you get set up on an exchange, you're good to go as far as buying, but remember, all exchanges don't have all coins. so you may find yourself signing up for a couple until more exchanges start accepting more coins. Then you want to make sure you get a wallet. Youtube crypto wallet" and "cold storage wallets" for info on those.

Theres a lotof good info shared by people in this thread, but reading is the biggest part. I read a lot of crypto news sites and reddit. Its even found its way onto forbes, bloomberg, and cnbc

I own some as a lotto ticket. Pick a number you can afford burning. Supply is so high that it won’t ever be able to explode big time to like 10 cause the market cap will be disgustingly huge. I like the idea somewhat because I could see the Chinese getting behind it. But only bet what you can burn. Don’t expect it to explode and make you rich but who knows.

One thing this influx of noobs showed me is that too many people want to be spoon fed. In general that’s the problem with people in this generation. Nobody is willing to actually take time to put in work and automatically start complaining when things aren’t going how they expect it. I promise if you spent more time READING, you would spend last time on here looking lost.

The thing is that opinions that can be taken easily wrong as financial fact/advice since this actually deals with actual money.
