I just like getting informed before I buy %+%%...and I'm definitely copping a BlackBerry (Curve). I just gotta figure out on what network...I've been leaning on T-Mobile because their prices are lower compared to the rest, even with them upping everything by $5 on the 16th.

Now back to pg. 70 I go...

Man, screw a Curve. While I love mine and it is a great device, why not wait it out for one of the newer BBs? Or grab a Bold? I don't know--at this point in the game, I wouldn't buy a Curve as my first BB. Way too much new stuff on the horizon and already out(Bold).
Alright, here's my thing. I'm sort of torn now. I don't want to drop a boatload on a phone nor have some plan that goes $80 a month($70 is the limit I set for myself)...and I wanted a BB bad, so I was thinking Curve. From a quick check, T-Mo had the best prices...but so did Sprint/Nextelthe last time I was in the market for a phone (I've been with Sprint since '02, made the switch to Nextel when they merged), and their service is TRASHaround here. I'm done with those @**$!$...I haven't had a cell in a few months, and the only reason I'm still with them is just so I can port my #over when I make the switch.

I was set on copping the Curve, but these last 40-50 pages got me excited on the new BB's
embarassed.gif
...however, I will NOT cop a Storm, because I'm not a fan of thetouchscreen phones...I need QWERTY on my *$++. I can't wait until Javelin drops on T-Mo...I need a cell ASAP, not trying to wait any more months. Soit's either Bold on AT&T or a Curve on whichever network provides a good plan/service I'm comfortable with. Obviously Bold is the better phone, butlike I said...I'm not trying to drop an excessive amount of $$$ on a phone nor pay $80 a month.

It's funny reading through this whole *$++ though...it sounded like Tre's had about 17 different Curves and 11 different batteries since he made thisthread.

I got a question for you guys, does anyone know if there's an app to get a threaded sms look like on the Treo? I have a Curve by the way. Yes I know thatit saves your messeges but its not really orginazied and I need to keep track of my convos for work.

Well out gate AT&T's Blackberry plan is $30, that's not including text then you have to factor in the plan as well. As far as gettingthe Bold for a decent price you have options. Check out letstalk.com, wirefly.com, and other 3rd party sellers as well. Some have said that even Walmart isselling the Bold for a very decent price. Just do some shopping around, but if $70 is your price point you're going to be hard pressed to meet that with aBB anywhere. Good luck.

YESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol we finally got the bold an we bounced.

that storm aint a bad price at all. thats gonna be a hot seller for verizon

I'm a Verizon customer but i've never had a smart phone. I'm planning to get the Storm next week but need recommendations on the type of plan toget.

I have two lines so I'm using a 500 minute family share plan for about $50/month.

If I upgrade both our lines to the Storm, what additional plans do I need to purchase? I will be mostly using the phone for email, web browsing, IM, phonecalls and as a MP3 player. I don't plan to download video or music.

Will the Blackberry email and messaging plan work? Does this plan have unlimited data usage for email, web and IM? Or am i using airtime minutes?

What about the Blackberry unlimited data plan? Whats the difference between this and the email and messaging plan?

Can I share the above data plans with the family or does each line need its own data plan?

Also, is there an application you can download for GPS instead of using Verizon's Navigator?

Educate me please. I don't want to go in there and have the sales dude BS me and sell me all kinds of stuff I don't need.

Still deciding on if I should get the G1 and pay less monthly with tmobile or get the Storm and pay more.

I don't know if I'm gonna like the Storm. I have a LG Dare right now, and sometimes I wish I had something similar to a mouse to guide on theinternet. Of course, I do want to mess with the Storm to get a feel for it. A co-worker has the Curve and I love it, but I think the keys are too closetogether. I want to check out the Bold to see how the keys are on that phone but I am definitely not switching to AT&T. If I don't like the Storm Iwill just have to wait til Verizon releases something similar to the Bold or Curve.

^ One small problem I have with the myspace app though is the comment approvals. I got an email of a myspace photo comment for approval but on the app itdidn't notify me anywhere.

Quick question. While still under warranty, can I get a new BB if my track ball light stopped working?

Hey where you get your bold from? I have noticed that the AT&T box is like orange and white but yours is all black. On some of the videos onyoutube of people reviewing theirs I have noticed that they have had both boxes. Is there a difference?

The email was your notification. The app doesn't notify you. The best bet is to have your BB email coincide with myspace, if you haven'tdone so already, so you get the alert and take care of it right then and there.

You're probably low/out of memory. That used to happen to me a lot.

I deleted a lot of the BS apps I didnt really use, and I'm gold. It also helps to clear your log, if your kinda low on memory. Press ALT, L, G, L, G to getto your log.
