Naw, that's most likely not going to fly because phone's have specific serial numbers. Just try taking the trackball out and cleaning itin the manner explained here: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=8800&message.id=315http://supportforums.blac...d=8800&message.id=315 , because itmight simply be dirty. I have the latest official firmware (there are leaked firmwares that add further improvements in performance, but they are not backed by Verizon),and it seems to be relatively stable. There are no lags, and as long as I preserve application memory, it runs very smoothly; however, it does crash every nowand then for no apparent reason.

It's probably best to stick to the apps that have been tested and are to proven to work with the Storm. Many of those apps may work, but theycould cause memory leaks, crashes, etc. if they are not optimized for the newer software on the Storm. damn that's what i thought. you think that's what it is though? the trackball scrolls fine it's just clicking it down. and i was typing earlier andsome letters don't respond if i type too fast. my phone got some water on it but i didn't think it'd be enough to mess anything up. i mean it wasraining it's not like i threw it into a lake or anything

Hey when I click on that aim link from my bold on pg one I get a message saying my device is not supported for aol instant messager

Any help

same here....but the crash thing is all blackberrys i think...cant speak for the bold but i know the curve would do the same....its all in how youuse the memory, close apps, multiple task etc etc-

I just called Tmobile to see if I'm able to upgrade to a new 8900, unfortunately I only qualify for the partial discount, making it out to cost $460 withtaxes. I don't see how any phone is worth $460. I assume the full discount makes the phone $300.

As I'm writing I realized my ex promised to upgrade her phone for the 8900 and give it to me since she has an unlocked iphone but that would be an awkwardconversation to ask. Then again, maybe not. Beats paying $460...
 
Trife, out of curiosity, why would you pay retail for the phone as opposed to doing an upgrade/renewal? The savings on the phone on contract would far outweighthe ETF you'd have to pay if you wanted out of the contract...

My upgrade price was $429.99. I figured paying the 70 extra bones was worth it to not extend my contract for 2 years. And I'm only on a 1-year contract,so when July rolls around, if I'm feeling another device on another carrier more, I can switch without penalty.

And this just came in tonight.....

I'm loving this joint. Sooo much faster than the original Curve, not to mention more solidly built IMO.

Great phone, I wish I could dish out $500 bones for it, but I don't see how any phone is worth that. If I'm gonna spend that much onelectronics, I'd rather buy a PS3 and some blurays.
 
My 8320 shuts off for no apparent reason during a phone call. I have a good amount of battery life left, and I have plenty of memory on my phone. I checkedcrackberry to see if anyone had the same issue, and I see that it's a common problem... Time to call T-Mobile for a new phone %*$#

^ The TMO 8900 comes with the titanium back. I'm probably going to order the black joint though...it costs like 15 bucks.
 
Im new to BB but I want to make the switch to a BlackBerry .... WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK IS BETTER ???? I want the BB Bold or the BB Curve .... Not sure yet .Any thoughts on helping me out ???
 
^^ your gonna get a vary mixed bias responses from different people lol

i got bold and its great but my suggestion is to go fiddle with both till u get a good feel of which u like better
