I know the feeling my man. I feel for you.

You just never know when it is going to be your BIG night. What I "try" to do is when I get to a certain amount that I want to win, I only gamble with 3/4 of it. For example if I am up 1k, I will gamble with 250 of what I am up, and just pocket the 750. I'm not going to lie there are times where I "dip" into my winnings, but I try not to.

I won about a total of 2500 two weeks ago, spent 1k, but lost around 1k in my last two visits at the casino. I haven't gone this week but this weekend I might pay the casino a visit and test my luck.

^I can only speak on my strategy but that's pretty much how I like to look at it, no matter what the game is.

Truthfully, ever since online poker has been down, I haven't had the drive to play poker live. This is because I'll show up to AC for just a weekend and I don't want to spend the majority of the day at the poker table.

I generally just play craps nowadays. But like Classy Freshman stated, you really have to pocket your "big" winnings as soon as you hit.

I find the hardest part is that if I run into a hot table and win off the break, I will automatically splurge. The constant thinking in my head is that "oh, I've only been here for 10 minutes and I'm up 5 bills, I can stick around for a bit." Obviously that is never is the case as I end up losing all of my winnings.

I just show up at the table expecting to start off slow, waiting for the table to get hot (which usually produces the best results for me).

When your up early and you decide to stick around, make sure to pocket any big winnings. Set amounts/goals in your head. If I'm up $360 at the craps table (I'm not that big of a gambler $ wise), I'll put $300 on the back row and go back to playing with $60 (unless of course the table is absolutely hot).

I'll pocket any Yo's, hard bets, etc. etc. just for the hell of it. Color up if you need to just so you won't touch the chips.

And just from personal experience, I seem to always hit on Sunday mornings with the old folks
laugh.gif
(those senior citizens don't play when rolling, seriously
laugh.gif
laugh.gif
).

And of course the best advice, when you are down, quit for the night/take a good break. Nothing ever good comes when being frustrated.

(On another note, God bless the Trump Plaza. I highly recommend the $3 minimum Craps table. It's 24/7, and you get to at least stick around for a bit even if you lose. $10/$25 minimum tables are a disaster if you are not a big gambler. It could be one and done in 10 minutes so be aware of what you are playing).

I love giving out tips for Craps so if any of you beginners need help, feel free to ask questions.

Good thread....
I play Craps, 3 card poker and BJ.

Vegas STORY-Warning....

So i was down at the RIO peeping out the craps table. I think everyone that comes to the craps table has some sort of superstition.  I usually don't play when women are rolling. Haha.

Here ist he story.. At the craps table at the Rio and I'm about to play. This guy starts to chit chat with me and then starts calling @*%$ out, what not to do what to do. I start to ask questions.... So then I'm walking around  with this Croatian Dude like I'm his apprentice. He's telling me, you have to at least come with 200 dollars at min table of $15.00 this is because you are going to play 3 numbers at 15.00 a piece. You will only play after you watch a person roll 3-4 times. Put your money down. When your numbers hit 3 times, you take your money off. Repeat.

He then explained to me why this works, all numbers things. I was like man i don't give a buck.

I made 100 and bought him a pack of smokes. hahah Supposedly all this dude does is go to casino every day and do the same @*%$.

He knew everyone at each table.

I finally had to get out of this and he's like "when you leave?...: I'm like +*!, this cat was trying to get all my info and so i was like very vague. He says, i want you to do this.... when you are about to leave, go to the front desk and tell them "hi my name is David, and i have a package waiting for me"
alien.gif
, "its my gift to you" When ever you come in town hit me up.

ahhahahhahaha I'm like okay dude. long story short... i didn't check for that package because i didn't want to feel like an idiot when nothing would be there for me.

This whole situation was sketch to me. I wonder what would have happened.

just curious...

was it a big comeup (like 200+ ROI) or are you just playing with a bigger bankroll?

i mean, im the last person to tell anyone how to spend my money, but I am just curious as to how much you are playing with relative to the size of your expenses (or your disposable income).

im a borderline addict, but for me its more about the act of gambling and the entertainment/excitement factor than it is the money.  I could never see myself walking into the casino, racetrack, or sportsbook with my rent money in hand trying to double up.

I have 3 accounts. Two checking and a savings. With my main checking account I pay all of my bills. I have a set amount going into my savings, and if I have some extra money that will not hinder my everyday activities I will throw that into my "gambling" account. So when I go to the casino, I am only willing to gamble with what I have in that specific account. Now I wont keep any more then 1k in the gambling account at any time, and even if I have 1k in it that doesn't mean I am willing to gamble with all of it. Yesterday I had around 500 dollars in it, and I took out 300 to gamble with. I won 1300, put my original 300 back into the gambling account, took 800 dollars and paid my January rent(I like to pay me bills in advance ESPECIALLY with gambling money), bought an overpriced Nike AW77 hoody that I would NEVER spend my "own" money on from Eastbay, and put the rest in my checking account. Now if there is a time where I lose all of the money in my gambling account(which happens from time to time), I just won't gamble until I am able to replenish that account without it affecting my every day life. I am honestly borderline addicted to gambling, but I think I am disciplined and responsible enough to not have it affect my every day life. That discipline spills over to the actual game I play (blackjack) which enables me to win more times than I lose anyway.
^By the way, I'm now just skimming through this thread, but this explanation fits my EXACT style of play. I 've always had this way of thinking in my head, I just could never translate it into an actual plan. I will be following this no doubt, thank you sir
laugh.gif

..and I wholeheartedly agree, I just can't see myself increasing and increasing the "gambling" bankroll for a greater investment. I am 100% afraid of that one night where something will go absolutely wrong, so I keep myself in a box of what I can and cannot gamble with, no matter what amount I came to play with. It obviously has to do with the income I'm making currently.

I am an addict I would say, but being disciplined is the best thing I could have.

at the story..there are some friendly people at the table, way too much ayo going on there.

I am very superstitious when it comes to playing craps

..beginners, old folks with walkers, women..I will bet big on them

I also don't mind tag teaming with the dealer to teach folks how to play when they show up. The biggest problem is when drunk idiots stop by and ruin the flow of the game. I was the Borgata a few weeks ago and this one broad wanted to learn how to play but was constantly interrupting the flow of the game. The dude who was rolling was obviously drunk, but he was rolling for a damn long time and would constantly turn back to give tips. The worst part was when she blurted out "what about 7, why I haven't seen 7 in a while." The dealer yelled at her for a good 2 minutes about etiquette and to never bring those types of comments to the table. It was burned in my brain, I could see everything in slow motion. I kept saying to myself "take your money of the table, take your money off the table." I saw my own fate right before my eyes and duke crapped out.

The whole table was livid at that broad.

I hate the hit and run type of people.. The ones who come mess up the whole flow of the game or the ones who bet every other hand. Man that be pissin me off. You got to be consistent with the bets or considerate and leave a dude alone if u see he doin good by himself. Smh..beginners.

That kills me, but what REALLY kills me are the people who play 2 hands at a table. Every once in a while they will take a hand out and mess up the flow. There are always going to be losing streaks in blackjack. You just have to "weather the storm" and get threw it. I also hate people who play two hands and take hits based off of both of their hands, instead of playing each hand individually. For instance, if a guy has a 15 on the first hand and a 12 on second hand and he is facing a 10... even though you are supposed to hit on the 15 he will stay because he has a better chance on not busting when hitting on the 12. I HATE that

I might go to the casino this weekend I will update with my results.

damn your whole post hit close to home, but especially the first two things you mentioned.

my best friend is like that.  we clown on him all the time bout it actually.  when he gets drunk (which is often) dude loves to "bro-out".  its ridiculous and unbelievable at the same time.  one time we were over at Aria at Haze and posted up at the bar.  My boy was bro-ing out with another one of my buddies that he had never met before.  This cute chick squeezes in at the bar next to him and starts makin chit chat and flirtin with him.  Granted he was drunk, but he was just like yea yea yea whatever, and turned his back on her to continue talking to the dude.  Dude was like wait a minute man... that girl was tryin to get your attention hard man.  We can finish this conversation later.  Too late, girl left in a huff.

same cat loves to bro-out at the craps table too.  It gets so bad that I have to keep him in check (which sucks, cause I hate playing babysitter).  Dude will be throwing tips at shooters after they hit 1 friggin point.  I'm like yo man, be cool, you're DOWN a couple hundo not up.  Why you tossin chips at other men?  They gonna jerk you off after or what?

He says, i want you to do this.... when you are about to leave, go to the front desk and tell them "hi my name is David, and i have a package waiting for me"

, "its my gift to you" When ever you come in town hit me up.

ahhahahhahaha I'm like okay dude. long story short... i didn't check for that package because i didn't want to feel like an idiot when nothing would be there for me.

This whole situation was sketch to me. I wonder what would have happened.

..beginners, old folks with walkers, women..I will bet big on them

The whole table was livid at that broad.

damn your whole post hit close to home, but especially the first two things you mentioned.
