OFFICIAL Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) Thread - DK,FD vol. Addictive Personalities Beware

You sure you want Frazier against the duo of Alphabet/Delly?

Also, I love Embiid at $4500. He gets the nod across every format for me.

Lineup is lit.

1st in both 50/50s.

I did a NBA line up and managed only 265pts

My buddy said that was terrible, I did a heads up with an experienced player and won

This **** is addicting but haven't played DFS to know what's normal scoring for players

Makes sense. AD is a lock for 70+ tonight.

I'm rolling with this for my GPP:

Mills

Irving

Klay

Alphabet

Gay

Stephenson

Dieng

Brow

JoJo

It depends on the day with the score..I scored 277 and cashed on all but one last night. Other days you'll miss out with it

You typically want a player to score 4x his salary for 50/50s and H2H. And you want at least 5x-6x for tournaments.

For example if a player costs $6000, you want him to score 24+ points in a cash game, and 30-36+ for tourneys.

Obviously the amount of total points you need to win varies day by day depending on the slate of games, contests you enter, and other factors. But as a baseline those are what you wanna shoot for.

Depends on what you're paying for them.

In cash games like 50/50s and HU contests, I think 300 should earn you a win. In GPPs you're looking at at least 340-350 on Fanduel. So you're looking for about 38 points per player. But a guy like AD at 11k is gonna net that total more easily than Jeff Green at 4.5k so your superstars usually make up some ground for those role players.

Usually, people deploy multipliers against a player's price to determine a desirable output from that player and then use their matchup and other variables to predict whether or not they'll hit that value.

I'm likely off a little on these, so if someone wants to correct me please do. Generally (on Fanduel):

3.5k-5k = 6x multiplier = 21-30pts

6k-8k = 5x multiplier = 30-40pts

9k-11k+ = 4x multiplier = 36-44pts

Won 17 bucks last night :smokin
I know it's not a lot but trying build up that bankroll so I can start playing some bigger entry fees

From a variance perspective, you can still wIn a H2H with a bad score. Conversely, the chances of not cashing in a large 50/50 with a great score are higher also so I'd prefer H2H, as long as you avoid the sharks

No real way to avoid sharks with 50 lineups though, right? I believe DK has a setting to not play the same person more than a few times

That's why I play 20 man 50/50s. Less chance someone hits on a reach.

Though, at the end of the day, if your lineup is quality in the first place you should be fine.

I may play a H2H tonight to see what its like. I've avoided them because of sharks, but if you're playing an average user then it should be a lot more fun. Plus there can be more room for error if you happen to play someone who threw up a complete miss.

Yeah 20 man 50/50s are what I've been playing. The cash lines are consistently higher on the 100 entrant ones. Not a huge fan of H2Hs.

Joel is only gonna give you 20 minutes. Someone in Philly has to take Grant's minutes for tonight with him getting traded

Dodged a bullet in my 6pm 50/50 - no one has Harden.

That's why I play the 20 entry ones instead of the 50 and 100 lol
