They cut the flashback out :{ Ned had one about that day when he was injured after Jaime had attacked him. Seven against three and only Ned and Reed survived :eek It's way too much to ask but a couple books about the lead up to the war and the actual war would be amazing for me to read.

I had never seen that comic before, good looks for that :hat

GM had an interview not too long ago commenting on it:

From a recent New Jersey Monthly article:

NJM:Describe the page to screen process.

GRRM: I’ve been very happy with everything. I think you can divide the show into three types of scenes, there’s the scenes in the books that they’ve translated to the screen, and I think they’ve done a wonderful job with those, those are rendered very, very well. The actors are great, the writing is great, the directing is great. There are the original scenes, scenes that are not in the books that David and Dan have added. Those are great too, I’ve been very pleased with the majority of those. The one thing I miss is the third category, the scenes in the books that never make it to the screen. Scenes that were cut, because some of those were good scenes. Good dialogue, good bits of business, and important in some cases, and I miss them, knowing the books as well as I do, and I watch the show, and I’m like, ‘Oh, this scene is going come! Oh, they cut that scene.”

NJM: Can you give an example of one of those scenes?

GRRM: Ned’s dream, after his leg is injured, the Tower of Joy scene. That was an important scene, an atmospheric scene, which would’ve translated [to the screen] really well. It would’ve had to be done in a very stylized manner, but I miss that.

I've loved her since Tudors :evil

I you haven't watched that show...

it's on Netflix.

It's like hbo wants to cut out scenes that would give show watchers a better understanding of stuff :{. Flashbacks would help make this show even better.

They want to keep it a certain length and limit what they show. Everyone already loved Ned in Season 1, adding in a flashback for him really doesn't do much especially when he was going to die soon. It definitely adds to story, and helps you understand his character's past. But assuming something had to go I personally rather them cut flashback then something actively happening. Like everyone else I wish these seasons were 12++ episodes and/or maybe a few hour 1/2 episodes in there. But if they have 50-60 mins to squeeze everything in, not surprised some stuff got cut.

Unless they added more episodes or increased length of them, I really don't want to see flashbacks, since there already is so much going on and we are missing a lot of it as is. Yeah they took flashbacks out, but they added in stuff like Jaime/Brienne last season, and Theon this season, which I really would have annoyed if they just cut them out and your left you wondering. Eventually I got to get around to reading books, and get all the other backstory myself.

Well, as a book reader those are some of the scenes I would want to see. I would geek out at seeing stuff from the past and seeing characters that are long gone. They could've fit that one scene in somewhere during a 10 episode season.

And some of the flashbacks are actually important to the story. I'm not going to get down on the show because of it and I understand the reasoning behind it. Just a thought.

That comic book girl reviews were pretty informative, please post when she updates about anything else related

I finished the 3rd book recently. I was surprised by the Theon scene. I appreciate it but for viewers sake, it's necessary. Considering his role last season, to not have him at all until next season...he keeps his relevance. More so than just having his name dropped.
I was hoping that they would have made the season 12 seasons long but I guess have a budget increase and keeping it 10 episodes is more beneficial. But since book three is gonna take up two seasons, I wonder what they're gonna end with. I have a good idea of when though
Never seen that comic before, pretty cool
'Game of Thrones' Star 'I Have Less than $5 in My Bank Account'
0403-lena-heady-hbo-article-2.jpg

Actress Lena Headey -- aka evil Queen Cersei from "Game of Thrones" -- claims she's dead broke with "less than $5 in her bank account" ... and she desperately needs her tax refund to cover her living expenses.

Headey opened up about her dire financial situation in new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, which she filed in response to her husband Peter Loughran's demands for half of their $46,000 tax refund from 2011 ... which technically could be community property from their marriage.

Lena -- who filed for divorce from Peter last year -- says she needs $6,000 from that refund ASAP because she's barely scraping by, living off credit to make ends meet for her and their 2-year-old son.

It's pretty shocking since she's currently a main character on one of the most popular shows on TV.

Lena says she expects to receive acting income in the near future, but she needs the $6,000 advance from the refund right now.

Lena says she's willing to give Peter $6,000 from the refund to cover his living expenses ... but she wants the rest placed into a two-signature blocked bank account pending a settlement.

The judge denied Peter's emergency motion for half the money, and Lena's proposal got tossed out with it ... so it's still unclear how the exes will split the money.

Huh?

"I'm looking for a Stark in the streets but a wildling in the sheets."

lol personals on craiglist can be hilarious

on side note:
Dumb chick doesn't even want Lannister's dead. Get your revenge list right.

Or maybe its that female beauty is subjective and different people find different types attractive.

^^^ Not to make light of her situation, but Cersei isn't trying hard enough if she's really that broke. I guarantee there are GOT fans out there that would pay her thousands to make just a quick personal appearance at an event or party.

It's called posturing

I'm sure she has money... But her ex husband doesn't need to know about it

I'll take Lena in. Hope she likes pizza and watching her sex scene from 300.
