^^^^ Brah I legit teared up at moment.

Lil lady's entire world view changed within a couple minutes, self worth on a zillion

-Stannis gave his daughter something Jon always wanted from Ned.

^That is his authentic daughter. Unless I missed something she is not a bastard.

Brah, sorry, I should have expanded. I meant there a similarities in the situation

Stannis was advised send is daughter away his she had the disease, Ned was probably also told to do the to Jon for being a bastard. the both kept the children doe

Ned could have had Jon made a Stark anytime he wanted and chose not too. And he let his wife treat Jon like ****, matter of fact he gives lil objection when she does it

Stannis reassures his daughter he is not ashamed of her and he loves her. Something Ned never did for Jon. When Jon and Ned lasted talked, the words "you're my son" never even comes out his mouth, no I love you, nothing.

Ned doesn't reassure Jon of his love and care for him, not even in private. Unless I'm forgetting something. Where as Stannis does it for his daughter, and he is even more cold than Ned generally was

I get what you are saying. Im just saying if Jon wasnt a bastard then he would've had all those things and he knows it, Ned knew it, Cate knew, all he family knew it. Since he "brought shame" to the Stark household there just wasnt any chance of it.

^^^^ Brah I specially talking about the type of emotional reassurance Stannis gives his daughter.

She ask him a direct question, he never answers it doe, he never tells her she doesn't bring him shame. He tells the story as a way to prove to her he loves and cares for her. She might still bring shame to Stannis, but that doesn't matter. He ends his story with the words "And you are my daughter". That drives home the point that to her at is the most important thing.

Ned, even though Jon brought shame to him and his house, could have easily done the same Jon. The last time he sees Jon, he could have gave him the same type of reassurance that no matter what happen in the past, you're my son. He had the opportunity to do it in private, and he chose to do it. Instead he half ***** it and tells Jon "you a Stark, you have my blood" that's it

And Jon's only request from Ned was to know about his mother. And what does Ned do? He puts Jon's head that if he see each other in future (which will probably be years) he will tell Jon about his mother. Even though he know both him and Jon are going to dangerous places, especially himself. Now maybe future events will make this move seems less dickish.

Stannis on the other hand doesn't let his daughter walk around feeling like a pile of ****, which Ned let Jon do.

Im agreeing with you :lol

Im just saying that the difference is one is a bastard and one is not. Not sure if Stannis would be doing that for a bastard daughter. It could be argued that he would or wouldnt. And you know Ned would've done that if Jon was not a bastard

That's why I aint sure if those are comparable things. Even Ramsay wasnt treated well as a Bastard. Difference is that Ramsay was naturally more confident tham Jon.

Best father to a daughter in Westeros!!

KING Stannis
Stannis definitely belongs in the NT Dad Appreciation thread.

Brah Ramsey's dad seems to be ******** on him just as much as when he was a bastard doe. :lol

-BTW, I'm putting in my bets now, Rickon gets the Iron Throne at the end :smokin

Why didn't they get a double for Ser Barristan for the fight scene? I know he's supposed to be old but he looked MAD slow on that scene. :lol Maybe it's just me though, gonna take another look.

nah he was mad slow...didn't look believable at all

arya would of gave that old man work

I just played the episode again on HBO GO.

He moves pretty quick until he gets cut for the first time. He just doesn't seem that graceful, which in turn, makes it look less believable.

Mind has been blown over these past few pages

If the sword teacher really is the same dude with Ayra right now

Jon is definitely royalty I don't think that's even a question. I just wonder why nobody would ever let him know that and treat him like a lowly bastard all his life. I probably missed the theory in a spoiler

I always thought Melisandre was the ratchet version of the Wendy's commercial chick

She doesn't look as tasty in real life in this video, there is a potential spoiler btw

I'm fairly certain Jon is the one now. My red hair freak only wants to smash those with the blood of Kings, and there was more talk than usual centered around Rhaegar and Ned's sister.

Damn she's still attractive, but most of that wild sex appeal is missing.

If Jon Snow's bloodline could bring him enemies, then it would be wise for Ned to keep him in the dark about it.

If the major theory about Jon is right, and Jon is a Tangerian, son of Rhaegar and Ned's Sister. Robert himself would have slit his throat as a baby.

Ah, makes total sense

Red witch wanting his pipe speaks volumes

I think the Unsullied are supposed to be the best tbh. They train to be as soldiers as boys, right? It's not just they're a great army they should be elite individuals too. The execution of the fight scene did make it seem like they were sloppy but maybe it was just the directing. The point was they definitely weren't getting out alive. The choreography could have been a lot better, make it seem like the Unsullied put up a better fight

Starks were also Kings and they have the blood of the first men....
That theory doesnt have to be the only reason

My beef with Ned is not putting cat in check.. Made my dude's life unbearable, especially in the 1st book (vs what was shown on the show.. Though you can see the contempt on the show

Whatever went down, ain't jon's fault

For those who don't care about spoilers (like myself) and only care about watching a quality product..

Again, huge spoilers.. But if you want a great theory go to YouTube and watch a video titled: "tower tower joy joy"

Remember it's just a theory and not fact.. Yet

Is it really that hard to believe that highly trained soldiers can get taken out by inferior forces that use ambushes and their lifelong knowledge of their own country? I mean just look at the real life examples like the Vietnam War and in Afghanistan/Iraq...

nah i think the sons of the harpy are legit warriors
yea they have to be

I think a lot of us were confused thinking these were nobles running around with daggers.

but these dude seem like an elite task force

Not at all, the Unsullied were obviously set in a trap and outnumbered maybe by triple
