I just find it jokes that you dudes call any opinion that differs from yours "fabricated outrage". It's so condescending :lol

Exactly.

This whole "well other people had bad stuff happen on the show, why you mad about this" is so idiotic.

How the **** you going to tell me how I should feel about something I watched?

The response is basically :If you don't agree with my positions/views about the show. Then maybe it ain't for you :lol

Well ya'll should stop watching the show if you're not onboard 100% with everything they do. No need to be having opinions on it.

It really is surreal, but I find when people are in that mode, discussion is pointless.

I'm assuming he thinks its fabricated because there are worse scenes in GoT with not nearly the same level of outrage i guess
eyes.gif
.

Or maybe fabricated outrage as in people are pissed and say things like "I'm done", but will continue to watch.

Not to rustle any jimmies, but I personally think if it were any other character, but sweet Sansa there would be some outrage, but not nearly as much IMO. I'm in the camp that the scene wasn't really necessary, but I'm not mad.

Scene made me cringe but i'll still watch. It's ok, people can do that. Dudes swooping in saying fake outrage and yelling to stop watching the show like some looney tunes.

She'll be byke

all this fabricated outrage has been amusing

just imagine if they actually showed the sex
I get it was a graphic scene...But cmon, you can't really complain about that scene when the entire show is filled sex.

What about when Joffrey killed that red-headed wench with the crossbow or Tyrion choking out his wife? Cmon now.

Khal Drogo and Khaleesi on their first night together? Cmon now. She was crying and dying lol.

Bruh i'm a human being with opinions, how you gon tell me what i can and can't like?

I'm not saying that outrage over the scene is fabricated. I'm just saying being outraged over a rape scene is justifiable without the need to dismiss the scene as "unnecessary" or insignificant to the plot when you can put that label on a lot of graphic things that happen in the show.

Margaery has the Kingsguard too but what good does that do when the Kings balls are held right by his Queen Mother?

That just shows who really holds the power. Cersei ain't worried.

If they have no qualms with stepping to and locking up the Kings own wife, what makes you think they won't step to his Mother should they find out what she's been up to? :lol

Brah I conceded that it seemed unnecessary right now. But has the story continues it may serve as an important plot point

-Hopefully it was causes Tarthwitzki to give Ramsey that work

Agreed.

Plus
If I'm remembering right, there was a news story about the city in which GOT is filmed protesting them filming a scene for this season in which Cersei is naked in the streets. Taking that story together with what's been developing in the show so far, seems like something no so good might be headed Cersei's way too.

You must have forgotten what the blow back was like when Cersei, one of the most hated characters in the show's history, was raped and the writers started copping pleas.

"It wasn't a rape scene!" (Even though she audibly said no several times and he forcibly said yes and ignored her.)

This "it's just because it's Sansa" argument makes me wonder if all of you in the pro-rape-scene crowd has been watching/paying attention.

True but let's take it to the book thread if you want to discuss this more...

Don't want any more outrage in here :lol

Nah, I'm good. Just wanted to make sure I was remembering that right. I'll just wait to see how it all plays out now.

And I'm wondering if YOU even read any of my post. Because brah, how can we have a civil convo on this when you just want to put words in my mouth?
But with all due respect brah, discuss/debate what I have actually said. Not what you think I feel based on
my man Everytime i responded to you it was a direct quote. im not putting words in your mouth.

I'm not one of the ones saying it's "fake" outrage, but I agree with what Lawdog1 says

How can anyone have watched that scene, and not see the point it was trying to emphasize.
Ramsay - gives no dambs who she is and has notice her side eye comments wanting to bring her down possibly break her...
Theon - Possibly humanizing himself again (to which Ramsay broke out of him) feeling compassion/regret(which he has already felt) / possibly going to feel some type of redemption)
Sansa - (DON'T TAKE THIS WRONG WAY) NO, she wasn't a hardened woman yet, but aside from the knights hitting her in and almost raped in season 2, she's been relatively unscathed physically. Mentally she has been tortured, but she has always managed to get through it. getting stronger a bit every scene. LF gave her more strength...she was becomming stronger but not quite there yet...She still felted relatively "protected". This could have very well been the straw that broke the camels back .....now she knows **** is real out here.
Everything Cersi said to her at the battle of black water is coming true.
she never truly believed that was reality... This is it now...I think now is when she's truly going to do what she has to do.

There was blow back from that yes... (I think book readers helped blow that fire out because they knew what the scene really was, and directors said that it wasnt't intended to be like that)
That was a case of if you knew that scene or not and how you saw it in your mind... at the time my mind was focused on the book and I knew that that scene was intended to be rape..
wild part is next episode. she seemed cool about it/belittling Jamiee right after that..

I understand what people are outraged about..
I'm not one of the ones that are saying well hey stop watching.
I'm just simply saying you know the product you're getting...

but people have been jumping to conclusions without knowing where the story is going with that action. (SEE RUSTY"s comment above I quoted)

I think the difference in fractions at this point is also...taking it for what the story is... a fictional story that they are putting on TV based off the middle ages where stuff like this really went down.

to real life 2015 the way people are feeling about this subject....
I feel like some people just aren't separating that...

If you're not ok with watching that fine...no one is telling you to or not to... but as LAW said, don't call it unnecessary.. it may not be necessary to you, but it's necessary for this story to which the reason it was put in.

Its possible they could. I don't see the high sparrow turning on Cersei because I think dudes a fraud and has a deal with her. If dude dies though I'm not sure cause then you're left with fanatics.

my man Everytime i responded to you it was a direct quote. im not putting words in your mouth.

Quote where i tried to take the moral high ground, said I was surprised by the scene, that I desire to see Sansa to win and Hoping Stannis comes marching in to save her.

You're entire post was a straw man argument. That's the why said you were putting words in my mouth

None of these are proven, they're are just theories about the scene.

I even conceded like three damb times that the scene may serve as important plot point in the further.

But it seems like your more interested in arguing the imaginary Rusty in your head, and as opposed to one posting on NT

-Lets just agree to disagree and drop the discussion. I don't think we gonna get anywhere. So lets not even waste our times
