  not wanting to even turn this thing on for fear of my lowly level 8 character being deleted.  I can't imagine being higher ranked and having it wiped out
 
what does that headset thing do in GTA mode? 

i used to have the over the ear headset but i gave it to my lil bro since i hardly used it.

Camping seems to be the go to way of winning, that with team Camping together with top notch guns will get you the win 90% of the time

Go into social club and accept the invite, you still need to confirm it yourself


Anyone have a problem where you can't take body armor, don't know how to take it off

I made the request bruh..... It says request pending...Which means the creator of the group gotta accept it
 
Here is what R* put out regarding online characters being lost:

Loss of characters, rank, items, apartments, and/or in-game money in GTA Online

Question: My online character, rank, items, apartments, and/or cash are suddenly missing. How can I get them back?

Answer: We have received reports from some players who experienced losing characters, progress, items, and/or in-game cash during the first few days after release. We are working diligently to identify and correct the causes for these losses, as well as to establish how best to restore any lost progress and value. If you would like to receive an automatic email notification as soon as there is more information about this, please log into the Support Site and click Subscribe at the top of this page. You do not need to do anything else, and you can continue playing in the meantime.

Note: When the Rockstar Cloud Services are unavailable, you are given the option to still play online on disc-based content (rather than R* Cloud content). You are asked to confirm before entering Multiplayer whether you would like to play on a temporary character, without the ability to save. If you confirm this option, please note that none of your old characters will be available for that play session, and the temporary character you create will not be saved. If you want to make sure the characters you create are saved, you should not proceed into GTA Online when the R* Cloud Servers are unavailable. Even if the services come back up while you are playing on a temporary character, that temporary character will not save -- you would need to return to Single Player and re-enter GTA Online to load your non-temporary characters and resume playing with the ability to save progress.

Note: When exiting GTA Online, please pause the game and choose to return to Single Player. This will trigger a save and ensure that progress since the last auto-save is recorded. If you purchase items and immediately power the console off or exit through console system menus, those items may not be saved.
Updated 10/6/13: We are continuing to investigate the causes of the lost progress and what can be done to minimize the impact until a permanent fix is in place. Also, we have not forgotten about the requests for restoration. We are in the process of determining the options for addressing the issues for those players who have been affected. A fix and another game patch has to be in the works and put out on both console networks soon.Hopefully sometime early this week.

A lot of people though on here and other forums & message boards are pissed and are seriously done and will be selling the game back to Gamestop, Amazon, ebay, or Craigslist.

Same time though I think a lot of people will still stick it out and continue to play GTA Online for a long time.

i think my character got reset. im still ranked in the crew but now my level went back down to 1. i havent played in 2 days.
 
My character got deleted but I still got all my money, but I'm not going to sell the game back because one mode doesn't work. Just chill out and **** off in story mode till they fix it.

i find it bs that when they show you the pic that you can put the logo on your car... its almost the size of your hood
but in actuality its smaller than your shirt size right in FRONT of the hood :smh:
 
I understand that people are pissed and are saying "What the hell R* had 2 weeks before GTA Online was released and yet online is having these issues"

R* stated and let everyone know that early on there would be issues with GTA Online.They are working on improving it.I mean think about it the game worldwide has sold by now close to 20 million copies and the game hasn't been out for even a month yet.

No major video game company or developer would be able to handle a massive online like release like this.People are kidding themselves if they think Activision, EA, Blizzard, Square would have been able to release a massive online mode like this smoothly without issues during it's first week.
