I see what you're saying here.  Seems like he lifts his head up and realized how bad he destroyed Boychuk and kinda goes down afterwards.  Tremendous hit though.

Nash to Rangers now appears unlikely

By Katie Strang

As of Sunday night, the New York Rangers appear to be out of the running for Columbus Blue Jackets captain Rick Nash.

Barring a drastic change, a deal to bring the prized winger to New York does looks unlikely, a source told ESPNNewYork.com

The Rangers were believed to be the front-runners for the former No. 1 pick whose availability has dominated trade talks in the days leading up to the deadline, but New York does not appear to be willing to concede to Columbus' demands.

Blue Jackets GM Scott Howson's asking price for the franchise player is reportedly significant; according to multiple reports he is asking for a roster player, top prospect and a first-round pick, if not more.

Howson's trading partners, however, are slim. The Rangers are among a few teams on Nash's approved list of clubs to which he'd waive his no-movement clause and accept a trade. San Jose and Toronto have also talked to Howson this week.

In the first statement from Nash's camp since his availability surfaced, that list will not expand should Howson wait until the draft to make a deal.

"If a deal is not reached, then the list of acceptable teams will not change at a later date," Nash's agent Joe Resnick told TSN Saturday.

Resnick made it clear his client wanted to see a deal completed before Monday's 3 p.m. ET deadline.

"We're hopeful a deal can get done prior to the trade deadline that is fair and equitable to the Blue Jackets," Resnick said.

The best trade-deadline in all of the 4 sports...NHL never really disappoints.  Should be an interesting day!

Frees up cap space, so I expect a HUGE move or two to be done by DC.

Miami swept OSU in weekend series, went Friday it was great.

Pens aren't doing anything at deadline

Montreal's Kostitsyn traded to Nashville
The Nashville Predators have made the first big move on the day of the NHL's trade deadline, acquiring forward Andrei Kostitsyn from the Montreal Canadiens. Nashville traded a second-round pick in 2013 and a return of the conditional pick involved in the deal for Hal Gill earlier this month.

Kostitsyn has 12 goals and 24 points in 53 games this year, although he has just two goals in his past 28 games. A first-round pick by Montreal in 2003, he has scored at least 20 goals three times, including a career-high 26 in 2007-08.

He will be reunited with his younger brother, Sergei, whom the Predators added from Montreal in July 2010 for Dan Ellis and Dustin Boyd.

According to the reports, however, that won't happen until Nashville's game against Carolina on Tuesday. Andrei Kostitsyn will not dress for Monday's Nashville game against the Los Angeles Kings.

It is also the second deal between the two teams this month. Montreal sent veteran defensemanHal Gill and a conditional pick in the 2013 draft to Nashville for Blake Geoffrion, a second-round pick in 2012 and a minor-league defenseman.

The Predators are in fifth place in the Western Conference, but also have the fifth-most points in the NHL. Nashville won a Stanley Cup Playoff series in 2011 for the first time in franchise history, and the Predators are making a push for an even deeper run in 2012.

To do that, though, Nashville knows it will need some scoring. Nine teams have more goals than the 176 that Nashville has registered this season.

Kostitsyn, like Gill, will be an unrestricted free agent after this season.

Hmm four picks in the first 60 in '13 draft that's looking like it might be pretty deep? Not bad.

They have the brothers in Nashville

So its nice to see him come home.

It was literally swamp of Defensemen. Both are 29. And practically have the same contracts .. Going to miss Schultz a lot

Also, they traded away Zanon to the Bruins in exchange for Kampfer. Idk if there are any picks involved yet.

Just waiting to see if we trade away Harding. Time is ticking though.
