OFFICIAL HOCKEY THREAD: NHL, KHL, NCAA, IIHL

Man I didn't like the way we played at all today. No energy, no focus, just didn't come out to play and so Vancouver couldn't match what LA put on the ice.

If the Canucks don't drastically improve on their organization, effort level, and discipline they are going to have a tough time beating this Kings team.

The flopping man. THE FLOPPING. It's game 1 of the first series. We will never get calls from any referee again with that kind of play.
Only bright spot tonight was Lu playing very well.

Good to see NT actively cheering against the Canucks again, though.

Still upset about last night. Can't believe they couldn't close that game out. Now it's a trend with these teams, going to be in Pitts head

Last night was the end of the series imo. Zetterberg is a vagina too.

Didn't post last night, I was too high on the win.

Kings should have at least gotten 6-7 goals last night, but Luongo was great in net, until the end.

If the NHL were consistent, he would have got a game. But realistically, they weren't going to suspend a star like Weber.

Yeah, don't suspend him, it's playoffs.

I have a bad feeling all around about this Chi/Phoenix series. Tonight is a big game.

It's a joke that Weber didn't get suspended for that. Clear intent to injure, not a "hockey play". Being a star didn't stop the NHL from suspending Bobby Ryan last year and Pronger back in the 07 playoffs.

That last goal wasn't his fault. Carter made a crazy heads up play to kick the puck over.
We need Daniel back. Henrik looks lost out there, and not just on the defensive end like he usually is.

It was very strange not seeing Henrik in the thick of things on offense like usual.

There are few things in life sweeter than when the Canucks choke, I can only hope and pray that they let this first round series slip away.
