The only positive thing to take out of the Doughty situation is getting to see Slava Voynov for a couple weeks, this kid is solid and only 21.

Maybe he'll earn his spot, and Kings can get something for current defense liability Matt Greene.

As much as I'd like to see Crosby and Geno play, and I don't like cheering for guys to get injured this is good news because now we have a chance to win tonight

Jets finally get a win and Pavelec played amazing, without him we definitely don't get the win

Kyle Wellwood scored 8 seconds into the game, puck drop was 7:30, I turned the TV on at 7:31 and it was already 1-0

Caught some of the game last night.  Legwand needs a scoring sidekick badly.   Don't know how they've been able to stick around the playoff hunt the last couple years.

tonight's refs in our game were awful. they lost total control, and then couldn't stop blowing the whistle. unbelievable.


pevs' goal got us right back in it...and then horton goes ****** on us and takes a ridiculous penalty on a turtle who definitely isn't going to drop em. and from there, the refs got way too whistle happy. terrible game. about time claude got loud and thrown out of a game. he waited too long tonight tho.

why cant we score for rask? why is bartkowski our best option with kampfer and mcquaid out? why is milan lucic so slow?

lastly...staal is a wanted man next time we play carolina. what a vagina.

I watched the tribute online that Vancouver did for Rick Rypien, it was very well done and I had goosebumps the whole time. The whole thing was very sad but the saddest part was watching his best friend on the Canucks- Kevin Bieksa give his jersey to his family

and if you don't understand the connection there then I encourage you to read Iain MacIntyre's column on the Vancouver Sun website.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, he was one of my favourite players of all-time, from watching him with the Manitoba Moose to the success he had in Vancouver it was great to see. He was usually the smallest guy on the ice but he was always the toughest and would take on every one. I was so pumped the day he signed with the Jets and it was so sad to hear of his death.

Once again, you will be missed Rick RIP
