OFFICIAL HOMELAND Thread | FINAL SEASON

Reading through the thread sounds like Homeland is byke in terms of captivating television.

I need to catch up.

This is wild. Now they leaving us in suspense with Carrie's fate.

These shows legit swapping actors on these political show. One dude on The Americans. Then former president from Designated Survivor

Looks like Carrie got some Russian guy wrapped around her finger.

The vice president doing his job :hat

Carrie's vagina got to be FIRE! She just throwing it around all over the wirld. Russia. Germany. Middle East. She must have a bucket list

Damn, Carrie mind is gone. Wonder if the final season will be her recovering or if she'll be recovered and trying to bounce back and get revenge.

I can kinda already see some scenes with crazy Carrie and Frannie :lol Carrie not having a clue of whats going on.

That ending was weak. Keane did all of that the past 2 years to just resign admirably. Carrie lost her mind for this BS and she takes some moral high riad.

No serve out your term. All thise people put their life on the line for her and ahe just flushed it down the toilet

I kinda felt that way too
except for the ending being weak
one of the best seasons in quite a while
also to another poster: season 4 was good

She really wasnt fit for office and probably realized that. She can't govern of compromise when she's so unwilling to reach across the aisle to her own ppl or rivals/enemies.

She knew what her cos and go was saying was right but knew she would never trust them. Probably didn't trust the VP even after he did the right thing.

Deep down she's too jaded.

I wonder if Alexander came back later that night after giving Carrie that sugar pill for some of that P

Not sure how I feel about that ending. Season 7 & 8 feels like part 1 and part 2. I guess we should judge it after it all ends.
And I'm surprised we didn't see O'Keefe anymore.

Plot for Season 8. With Carrie's mental instability during her incarceration, the Russians were able to "brainwash" her. Now back in the US, Saul and co will probably try to help her regain her sanity... but what happened during those 7 months? Were the Russian able to turn her into a mole for them? S8 will be spent on whether or not she really is a mole and if she's planning a terrorist attack on her Homeland.

Best season so far IMO. I loved the timeliness of the themes compared to whats going on today. All the actors this season did a tremendous job & MVP for me goes to Claire Daines. She realyl did a fantastic job of anchoring the show with her acting chops. Loved Beau Bridges as the Veep too. He did a lot with his limited role. I guess he'll return as the prez.

I'm so glad Keane spat in paley's face. He had multiple opportunities to stop what he was doing but he kept it going. He sacrificed American interests & lives for political gain. I wish they showed something bad happen to his chief of staff too.

I wonder if Gorin will be pivotal in the next season?

the more i think about it the more i dont really like that the whole plan basically hung on simone

i mean if it was like we see they had hella sleeper agents doing different things

but dante seemed largely irrelevant to their plan

and paley's COS never got caught apparently but wouldnt jane curtain have put two and two together?

she interrogated that guy and the next thing the russians are anticipating them

good season but no real memorable scenes or moments oh the shootout thats about it

That would be crazy.

That would be trippy if the last season was about how Carrie became Brody.

Only problem though was that they killed Brody with kindness during captivity

Well if they wanted they could do the reverse and have Carrie be successful with her terrorist attack

US messed up not giving her a monument on National Mal.

I can seeCarrie crazy ranting now about every one of the sacrifices shes made, all the men she let hit, all the time lost with her daughter, all the pain and suffering in thename of the Republic

Sign Me Up

Carrie went full crazy just for the president to turn right back around n quit  :smh:

She definitely gon a have something lined up for some payback once she gets herself together next season

I don't know anything about mental illness treatments, but what's the realistic course of action for someone like Carrie? Can they electro shock her to "reset" her brain? Is there a "point of no return" on her condition if was without her medication for 7 months?

Don’t think she can get back to exactly where she was before but the medicines help keep a balance for her mind /body ...the balance had been off for all those months locked up so once she gets back on a regular routine with her meds it should swing back toward what was normal for her

Yeah, when I saw Prez Moss on the panel, it threw me off too! And of course seeing Audrey and Jack Bauer on the screen again was confusing as well!
