I have the myTouch already. I overclocked my G1 and flashed a few different roms to get it just how I like it. For this reason the myTouch doesnt get muchplay from me. Out if the box, the performs much better than the G1 but for me I cant just rely on a on-screen keyboard. Its a lot more stable than the G1 andgets less force closes.

Well T-Mobile customers, it looks like you can't have your myTouch 3G and eat your Hero, too. Great news trickled through this morning as the myTouch 3G became available for pre-order to current T-Mobile subscribers. On the flip side of the coin however, T-Mobile USA CTO Cole Brodman confirmed at a T-Mobile event today what many had expected - the highly anticipated HTC Hero will not be coming to the nation's number four wireless carrier. Brodman's exact words: "[T-Mobile USA] has no plans to bring the HTC Hero to market." It's definitely a shame considering the high desirability factor carried by HTC's upcoming handset but there's still hope the Hero will drop with AT&T in the near future. So what do you think, T-Moblers - sad to learn there's no Hero in your future or will the myTouch 3G suit your Android-loving needs while we wait for the next generation of T-Mobile Android handsets?

Is it possible t put another Os all together on a win mo device? Like I want the Tp2 but I hate Win Mo thats y I sold my Dash.. Plus I have an Iphone onTmobile I really need a change but that phone got me spoiled.. Anyone got any rec's? and if i do get a tp2 or my touch whats the best os out there otherthan the apple Mobile OSX

The best is all opinionated but with the TP2, you will eventually be able to put the Android OS on it.

The touch pro 2 looks promising especially with the apps feature coming soon... Wonder how much its going to be...

There it is, Windows Mobile developers - the day you've kind of, sort of, maybe been waiting for. Todd Brix, Senior Director for Mobile Platform Services Product Management at Microsoft has just announced that the company will begin accepting app submissions in 29 supported countries on July 27th. As in, less than two weeks from today. Woo! Brix goes on to report that Microsoft is on schedule to launch its "Windows Marketplace for Mobile" this fall alongside Windows Mobile 6.5. Current users shouldn't fret of course, as the Marketplace will also be available on WinMo 6.0 and 6.1 before the year is out. So what say you, Windows Mobile fans - think the Marketplace can compete?

I need that Touch Pro 2 for Sprint. It looks like it will have the 3.5mm jack.

Itwould be wonderful, if they release it before fall semester rolls around.

There was some talk that Sprint would release it this month but I really don't know. But I hope AT&T gets the 3.5mm jack, it's something HTC shouldhave done sometime ago.

Windows Mobile 6.5 Offers More Flicking and Scrolling

Rather than go through a tabbed interface, another early build of Windows Mobile 6.5 now shows off the platform's commitment to being more finger friendly, replacing tiny tabs with a flick and scroll area to shift between menus and screens. This is evident in the screenshot below. On the right, the refined "About" menu under Settings shows a strip towards the top that users can flick between. On the left, the tabbed menu of 6.1 of yore.

While Microsoft still needs some time to spruce up the user interface aesthetically, the move will be welcomed for many on the Windows Mobile Professional platform who despise using the stylus.
HTC Revives Omni Design in New Leo Leak--WinMo Gaming to Come!
For those that love the twisty-turny screen on the HTC Omni, which HTC seemed to have replaced in recent memory with the Universal design which is more curved rather than boxy compared to the Omni, the good news is that the Omni may be back with the codename of Leo.

According to leaks, the device will have a 16:9 aspect ratio WVGA screen with a lot of horsepower. The Leo will support Open GL 2.0 on its Snapdragon chip. Open GL will allow for better graphics and is the standard that iPhones use on their games.

With Open GL support, could the Leo pave the way for a Windows Mobile gaming device? Though the HTC-made device may not get the Xbox Mobile brand extension as an official sanctioned platform from Microsoft, it could very well pave the way for more gaming titles for the Windows Mobile platform. We already have iPhone games, a Sony PSP, and this will put Microsoft's mobile smartphone platform competitive with other other gaming platforms, especially in the performance that Snapdragon and Open GL could deliver.

Anyone waiting out the Touch Pro2 in favor of this bad boy?
HTC 2010 Roadmap Rumors: Leo, Mega, Rome
With HTC still delivering products from its 2009 roadmap slowly, it seems that a recent leak is revealing what may be the first part of HTC's 2010 roadmap. Not much is known about the devices, other than that they will be named Leo, Mega, and Rome, from an online auction of a charger bearing compatibility with said names. However, we do have speculations that the once cancelled Omni design will be like HTC's phoenix rising in the form of the HTC Leo.

The Leo presents an interesting opportunity for gaming development in the Windows Mobile community, being released with Open GL and a clamshell design and a rotating screen like a mini tablet. The design could take on the Nintendo DS platform and the Open GL capabilities could make it a venerable competitor to iPhone games.

Whatever the case may be, we hope that HTC delivers its recent promise of a 3.5 mm headphone jack to the Leo, Mega, and Rome.
