Official Lakers vs. Spurs 5/27 Game 4 9:00 ET on TNT

I have much respect for Pop and Brent, not whining, it was horrible, multiple missed calls down the stretch that went against LA as mentioned by persons herealready, Spurs aren't complaining, so those who just hate the Lakers and in particular Kobe Bryant (ahem...Shuges....) just get off it. Game is over.

Thats a foul, when a defensive player makes contact being faked out. Why you think offensive players use the ball fake? Its either a foul or not. ANSWER THIS QUESTION: WAS IT A FOUL OR NOT? NO IF, ANDS, BUTS. ITS A YES OR NO QUESTION. AND YES, THAT WAS CLEARLY A FOUL
I 1000000 percent agree. But hey, dudes have on yellow-tinted glasses and just won't call it like it is. I could give two %#!+@ what Barkley or Reggie or anyone else has to say. THAT WAS A FOUL. Come on now. Since when do you pump fake, someone falls for your pump, yet you don't get the call? You have to SELL it?

If anything, say that you're glad the refs didn't call that particular foul in the closing seconds of a tight game. But I think most of you are insulting a lot of people's intelligence by saying that it was NOT a foul.

And for the record, I don't believe in conspiracy theories in the NBA. But it was pretty dumb to have Crawford ref this game. Why not put him in the ECF instead?

Good points Shuges
I kind of disagree about Crawford though, he's a vet. He's been in the buisness for how many years now?
I'm pretty sure he's already done a couple of Spurs games in the postseason, but why have him do it anyway, why have any speculation?

Thank God they didn't call that a foul- did y'all even watch the game? The Spurs got literally EVERY call in the first half, that was the only reasonit was even a game.

Everything balances out.

The shot clock violation was on Kobe, not Fish. His fadeaway barely grazed the rim. Should of been a fresh 24.

Good no call at the end. Barry should have jumped into Fisher and shot the 3 and he definitley would have got 3 free throws.

Can't believe the Lakers almost blew this. They better close it out in game 5 and not let the Spurs creep back in it.

Overall, I think the Lakers deserved to win this game. Home-court advantage was in clear effect for the Spurs (FT att, calls, no-calls etc.), same can be saidfor the Lakers but in the end they just played the better basketball offensively and on the boards.

Shuges,

You are right with everything you said. I really believe joey should have been no where near this game just because if anything happened like this, it leftthe door WIDE open for conspiracy theories.

No laker fan should say it wasn't a fould because he didn't sell it. It wasn't a foul because it wasn't called.

The end.

foul
but you know they wont call that
not enough contact
barry needed to jump into fisher

manu not stepping up
robert horry has nothing left in the tank
spurs are just old
lakers showing they are the better team

memphis needs to be awarded a ring also if the lakers win the chip for stealing gasol

lol are you guys really that naive? you dont think pop went into the locker room and told everyone not to say a word about the call and say it was the rightone?

give me a break, it was a foul, call it, it wasn't in the act of shooting, and thats clear, 2 free throws and go to overtime... the refs wouldnt have hadto decide the game there....OVERTIME and lakers mistakes would have...

Barry wasn't even into his shooting motion yet. If they called a foul, he would have been at the line for 2. He pumpfaked, then dribbled again to sidestepthe contact.

Like I said...
... Kobe: zero free throws. I'm sure you're good with that.
... Pop said he wouldn't call that a foul. (Oh that's right, you don't care what anyone says... UNLESS it's some random NTer who happens toagree with your anti-Laker opinion. THEN you care what someone esle says, and you co-sign 1000 percent.

)
... Brent Barry said he wouldn't call that a foul.
... THAT CALL SHOULD NEVER, EVER, EVER BE MADE, IN ANY GAME, AT ANY TIME, EVER. You can't jump into your defender's space and have it be a foul. If thedefender jumps into your space, that's a foul. IF YOU HAVE TO MOVE FROM YOUR SOT AND GO SIDEWAYS OR FORWARDS OR DIAGONAL OR BACKWARDS IN ORDER TO CREATECONTACT, IT SHOULD NEVER BE CALLED A FOUL. EVER. You are allowed YOUR IMMEDIATE POSITION, not the position of all airspace around you.

I will say this though. The Lakers did deserve to win the game.

I gotta see a replay of the shot clock violation because the same people saying it hit rim are the same people saying Odom blocked Parker's layup.

the Spurs aren't going to complain about the officiating...like someone said that's just the way they are.

now the Jazz are another story

if the Lakers want to win game 5 and clinch, they had better, better bring their A+++ game to the table. the Spurs are going to play their best game of theseries, and Ginobili will probably be on fire.

Good no-call, despite the fact that I thought there was definite contact. If Barry had just shot the ball when he got bumped by Fisher this wouldn't be anissue.

In then end calls even out, and the better team won. With that said, you Laker's fans are pretty annoying with all this nonsense and ignorance you all arespewing.

Hmmm...all the Spurs so far agree, you don't get that call in that situation, Tim just said what everyone who has any sense has said, there was contact, but Barry didn't go up through the contact, he took a dribble after, trying to get a better look at the basket. I'm done, cause nobody in thisdiscussion seems to understand that.

And for you guys saying it was a foul, did Fish's ball hit the rim, cause in all the replays it clearly did, who knows, but more than likely, Spurswouldn't have even been in that position if the proper call was made. So cry me a river.

Yup, no foul. Barry should've left his feet to draw the foul, but instead he took a dribble and then went for a shot. So, no foul.

i went for a jog thinking the lakers had it wrapped up but +%@ they won by only 2? need to check the replay
