What's wrong about what dude said? Melo's scoring style isn't conducive to winning basketball in 2017. Even aside from the midrange jumpers it's the holding the basketball to set up his moves that is the big issue.

I can already see dudes trashing Melo this year for low rebounding numbers but then go Stevie Wonder to the fact that WB gonna stea and pad rebounds.

Your isolated quote makes it seem like my response was serious. The original post didn't make sense to me either so I posted something crazy too. But nice gif work though.
?

I was just responding to your response to mine ,don't care about the other quotes which is why I took em out.

You should've told me you weren't being serious to begin with ,had me wondering how it was even ever in the Lakers hands

The gif was my realtime reaction

So...... having a debate with a coworker that thinks Hayward’s injury would have been less severe if he had on high tops. I know this low top/high top been debated a lot but what y’all think?

I gotta tell you I'm not being serious when I say they should've let the number 1 pick re-enter the upcoming draft?!

Y'all be great.

Bev is a dude that benefits from his reputation. If he wasn't known as a defensive specialist he'd foul out in about 10 minutes of play. He's only good if he's on your team...

You're pre-empting a hypothetical. Melo has never done anything his entire career to better his chances of winning. He's actually been faced with the opportunity before and has turned it down for comfort multiple times. Funny thing is if Phil Jackson never publicly insulted him he would have rather stayed in New York than gone to OKC.

If he can be an effective player as a third option and wins that way, good for him as far as I'm concerned. Would be a little too late but a welcome new level of maturity.
Pre-decision, who really has? Most stars had been chasing the biggest pay days for years. Melo's agents ****** up/his image at the time was a little of a risk, so they miscalculated and missed out on 2010. He blew it in 2014 or 2015 with Chicago, but doubt that it would've done anything in hindsight. Plus, Phil sold him a dream and the hype was still there for people thinking that Phil would save the day in NY. Think that critiques about his game can be valid a lot of the times, but some of the narratives spiral out of control. Every player can't pull a LeBron or KD. Likely two guys who will go down as the best two players of a generation.

I get your point obviously, but few players had the same chances as Melo to do it. First if he had communicated that the Knicks were his #1 free agency location rather than leaking interest in the Nets he could have come to a full team instead of a bare cupboard. Second like you mentioned his free agency stint. And thirdly refusing to waive his NTC for this long when it was clear the Knicks were tanking and wanted to trade him.

That's not my primary criticism of Carmelo but I certainly don't believe all the "woe is me" "Knicks fans should feel sorry for him" type of narratives
