It's 7 years, it ain't like he'll be putting up Jeter #'s by the end. He's 35 but 3B isn't a stress defensive position as SS is. He only played 137 games and still put up 125 RBI's I'm pretty sure healthy for the next few seasons and put up similar #'s. His K's have been going down as his eye gets better with more patience at the plate. The OBP and OPS will go back to normal rates next season.

But then again, you're the same people that would congratulate St. Louis when they give Pujols 10 years.

Michael Kay is %#@*!!! ******ed if he wants to go after Greinke. The Royals have some great talent coming up in the minors next year and in 2012. They're going to want 2 top end MLB ready prospects and a low minor stud for Zach (which is what he's probably worth) and that dumb +!% Cashman will probably do it. These idiots didn't learn their lesson from 2001 to 2009 if they go ahead with that stupid +!% idea.

Get rid of Girardi and try to get Cliff Lee, I was really hoping we would have got him during the season.

Why get rid of Giradi??? I don't see any available manager that would be better. He is a really good manager and its not really his fault why we lost this post season. The starting pitching was iffy in the Rangers series and all the bats sucked besides for Cano and Granderson

I'll start the petition now

Rick Peterson for pitching coach.

Give the Brewers 5 mil and call it a day. He is a #s guy and is a solid Pitching coach...and was on the radio last week saying how he can fix AJ Burnett

do it Cash

Girardi's decision making didn't lose the series, you guys are blaming the wrong person. Is some of his decision making questionable? Sure, I saw with my own eyes when he was here. You guys got straight up beat by a hot team, they're pitching was better at that point in the season.

Gramps I am not joking.

The Kazmir issue is the one every brings up...but if you look at how he did with the Mets and how he has done with Jovani and the young staff with the Brewers he's very serviceable.

Dave Duncan is not leaving LaRussa and STL...who else would you guys want?

[Eddie Murphy]Rick Peterson likes to wear his jacket all the time, jacket all the time, jacket-all-the-time![/Eddie Murphy]

No go on Rick Peterson.

I wonder if we are going to find out why Eiland had his mid-season absence from the team

I figured Eiland being let go and the mid-season "break" he took were both related. Personal reasons were cited for both.

Hopefully Eiland doesn't have anything going wrong in his life...

Maybe Peterson is worth a look...Oliver Perez and John Maine looked like aces under his tutelage

Plus he was the pitching coach in Oakland when Tim Hudson, Mark Mulder, and Barry Zito were the big three out there.

Dave Duncan signed a two-year extension with St. Louis. Take him off the list.

No to Victor Martinez. Some other armchair GMs think the Yankees should go after John Buck but the counterargument is that he will prevent Montero from being brought up earlier and he would take away playing time from Montero.

Girardi needs to manage more on gut instinct and less on numbers...who gives a *&@$ if pitcher A has struck out batter B three times if those three strikeouts were five years ago?

---

Also, what to do with Joba Chamberlain?
