just read an article about the yanks potential plans ... %##+ is too too painful right now but i'll say one thing or 3 or 4 things rather ......
1. don't sign carl crawford . we got gardner and to me they're essentially the same player with crawford having a power edge. not that i give a %##+ about money but gardner's cheaper and it only makes sense if you look at it as there both pretty much the same
2. bring up montero and send posada to dh or retirement. if we forced donnie baseball to retire for tino why cant we with posada ? it's time homie, he's gonna be 40 and clearly cant catch anymore.
3. SIGN KERRY WOOD . caps for emphasis . joba is a head case and it's our fault . dude could stand to lose a couple pounds in in the offseason and rededicate himself. either that or trade em and let him grow a weirdo closer beard somewhere else.
4. we need a RF . swish is good and a clubhouse guy / fan favorite but he folded in the playoffs 2 years in a row. don't know if werth's that guy . he strikes out way to much but the guy is money in the playoffs .
and now jeter
dude looks like age is finally catching up. sad , the guy is god here in ny and having to pay for his legacy is gonna kill us for the next 4 years. we have no choice, not gonna let him sign with the tigers and see him as a visitor getting a standing ovation every ab when he comes home. but trust , this decline was no mistake. dude is getting up there and SS is definitely not in his future. even more of a reason not to sign crawford. jeter's gonna have to move soon to LF. either that or we're gonna see our boy retire early. and thats the day my friends when everything will all come crashing down, no one will hate us anymore, we'll be the yanks of the 80's, a team alot of u have no idea existed ........

lee's a gimme , but if the yanks dont sign em im not losing sleep. i got trouble with wanting the guy who's kicked our @++ the way he has and then bringing him here. its like someone beating your @++ and then u invite him to stay in your house and you tell your wife to throw on something sexy while you go to work.

same reason i hated johnny damon. dude ripped my heart out with that grand slam and then we shave em down , clean him up and try and sell him to me. nah dog, thats johnny damon, i know that dude, he sent me into miserable winter. same thing with randy johnson, dude killed us in 2001 and then we sign him . sometimes i wish the yanks would show some balls instead of how deep our pockets are ......

To be honest if we don't sign Cliff Lee or trade for some young stud like Josh Johnson our off-season is gonna be a disaster. Our age is at all the important positions are KILLING us right now. We have our future catcher already but what about that young dominant stud in our rotation? Don't even think about saying Hughes. Where is our Matt Garza, Clay Bucholz, David Price, or future closer like Daniel Bard ? Were OLD and need to get young very fast or we could potentially looking at a stretch of bad years.

time to start rebuilding from within ... use the farm ... bring people up ... i don't need to always have a $200 mil product on the field every year ... eventually you'll have to rebuild ... even if you are the yankees ... i don't always want to see us reload w/ our deep pockets ...

i appreciate the fact that ownership puts money back into the team but it's also more satisfying when you do it with YOUR guys. thats the reason 96 was my fav.
if ownership wants to make us happy, put those chips in their pockets and lower ticket prices so that i dont have to debate on either paying rent or taking my fam to a game ......

Gotta agree. That's like the Mets signing Larry or Burrell.
Which is why I give Andy a bit of credit for saying he never considered signing w/Boston when he went to Houston. Said he just couldn't do it. Yanks definitely need to fall back in that regard. Stop signing these guys that KILL your team as an opponent. That "if you can't beat him, sign him" mentality is basura.
