That is key.  I think most of us are just getting at "buy what you like" and what suits you versus what your perception is of other folks' definition of "cool"

A lot of the fellas in this thread have been pretty onto KDs since the 1s or definitely 2s, and its nice to wear something quality, with good detail, and above average performance without having to pay an arm and a leg.  Also nice that for the most part every TOM, ****, and LARRY isn't onto them because they are overhyped by "celebrities" and sneaker blogs.

That being said, more folks are catching on to what a deal the KD Line is, and how well they perform.  On top of that, some great inspirations and cws make for a very affordable package for something that isn't necessarily "basic".

Only a matter of time really that the "masses" began to appreciate this, so really its just natural course in sneaker "culture".  I don't perceive anyone hates or dislikes another dude because he happens to like the same thing as they do.

The sad part is that kids, adults, and primarily RESELLERS pick up on something that is rare and different (perhaps Nerf CW) and jump it even if they don't care for it looking to turn a buck and bend someone over.  Case in point, DB4 from the weekend.    Hopefully the Nerf CW doesn't become that, but I think that is the primary concern amongst regulars here.

Aint lying bout the foams at all. Im from DC..and i dont own one pair of foams. Dudes i know think im trippin..but i cant see paying $200+ for some kicks. I got kids and i aint even droppin $175 for some re- released J´s like the Concords, 3´s, Last Shot XIV, Chicago X´s..ok..ok..maybe the 3´s. But in these days kicks are soo over priced. I miss them days Jordan and the Bulls was THE team in the late 80´s early 90´s...to me thats when the shoe game was in full effect. It was fresh as hell to show up to high school with some J´s, Barkleys, Pippens, etc. I used to skip school just to cop em and come back the last period so dudes can see i had em first. These days..too many followers. And Ive hooped in all my KD´s from 1-3..and they ARE a huge bargain..performance is great and the price is under $100. they held up all season..even better than my Kobe V´s which ripped on the outside where the midsole meets the flywire. And KD´s ARE slept on heavily. People over here dont even know about them..but if you say Jordan..Kobe, or LeBron..they will be all up on it.

We all know how this thing works.....we've all been in it for awhile now. If you can't adapt, then chances are you'll get left behind while you blame Wale for not being able to cop your favorite pair of shoes for that time being. And I never said you all were "killing the shoe game"....The only thing you all are killing, or trying to kill, is your ability to like what you like and cop what u like, without worrying about other people, in this case, Wale, having the same thing. I just think that at the end of the day, if you're a grown man, another grown man shouldn't hinder you from doing anything you want to do.....whether its buying the KD'S, or that new skirt....#wordtokanyeNo beef. Wale and the hypebeast are the people to blame for the sudden rise of shoes becoming so popular. and bro I am a grown man. IMO grown men aren't in lines waiting to buy sneakers that all of the "new kids" want, grown men have prioritize, bills and some of the people like they said also have kids.
