Doesn't this fall under the whole don't provide the other team with any more motivation than they already have? Don't give them any locker room pin up material?

never understood why there werent more first pitch swings in baseball. I mean you know most likely it will be a strike thrown. Why not swing? That is if your offense is struggling...
