OFFICIAL NYk '22 offseason thread, RJ extended

You gotta expand the rotation. None of this 8-9 man rotation nonsense. Kids proved they belong, play them.

Tough decisions though, someone is the odd man out even if Rose is out.

zero chance thibs expands the rotation past 10 even with everyone healthy

and as the playoffs get closer, best believe that rotation going to a TIGHT 8-9

he not gonna change

He’s not a good game manager. If he was he‘d be able to know when to yank Burks or Fournier if they’re out there bricking everything.

Thibs' coaching style has an expiration date. We saw it in Chicago & Minnesota. Not sure it's now, or even next season, but we'll eventually have to move towards a coach with more modern concepts.

I do appreciate his role in helping reshape the organization's image, though.

I don’t think there’s anything inherently wrong with a short rotation, but the way he runs that 1st group into the ground is god awful. And he has had the wrong players in the rotation from day 1, but no one knew then.

There’s still plenty season left for the right 10 in the rotation to work out. And y’all know (by now) that starts with Deuce.

-RJ is developing on defense guarding the best wings every game. The O will prolly struggle with that responsibility.
-Grimes should be promoted to starter or get starter minutes while Kemba is playing 40 min a game. Give him the him AI treatment.
-Kemba can’t sustain this Better yet, Kemba’s knees can’t sustain this. Eventually, it’ll be that time.

What do you mean. Typically expanding your rotation is to include a big who doesn’t fit your scheme but either gets you points in a drought or plays tough defense to slow down the game.

If Fournier is having an off night you’ll need someone to crash the boards or set better screens. Unless though you think there’s another guard with Fourniers skill set that’s ready to have an impact.

The issue is that they have Knox and Toppin to fill the “off-night” whole

absolutely cannot stand how randle only wants to talk and be a leader when he’s hitting shots

this entire starting line together is trash. they ain;'t it man. thibs needs to mix it up
