Corsair Hydro H80 earlier
  loud ?
The pump/fan controller has three profiles at the push of a button: Low/Med/High. The stock H80 fans on High are a bit loud, but they really aren't that annoying. My GPU cooler's fans are louder at 100%, to be honest. Don't really mind the noise; I use a headset while gaming.
In fact, I'll be changing them to much more powerful fans (when they come in next week), and just use a external fan controller to control them, so they're bearable in normal use. Just need a quality fan controller that can take the massive power draw during the startup, which is hard to find lately. Oh boy.

In case you haven't been keeping an eye on the countdown, we thought we'd remind you that Ubuntu 11.10 -- otherwise known as Oneiric Ocelot -- is now available to download (completely free of charge, of course). That brings with it an updated version of the Unity interface that includes features like a new alt + tab switcher and "Lenses" with some expanded functionality instead of the previous "Places" feature -- not to mention full support for Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and other script languages.

Link

meh.

^ I'm upgrading now.  I use Ubuntu as my primary OS on both my laptops.  Only use Windows on my sig rig.  Been using Ubuntu or a different Linux/UNIX distro for the past 6 years now.  Good stuff.

Finally done with my Cooler Master Elite 430 Black Case Mod.
Adopted a solution on YouTube as to how I can place the PSU cables (non-modular PSUs ftl

) behind the motherboard tray... by using a food tray!

Anyway, I used a plastic one, instead of a metal one like he did.

I also modded the acrylic side window panel, and replaced it with modder's mesh, so more air gets in.

Also made a bracket twin 120mm fans for the fans that are coming in next week.

Here's what came out (sorry for the crappy iPhone pics):

But it's definitely better than before:

^ Thanks. Wouldn't really have done it if I had a better case... nor if I hadn't had a case that is pretty cheap.
laugh.gif

Can't believe they gave this case quite positive reviews except for the cable management. Airflow is far from adequate, IMO. My stock GTX 560 Ti reached 105 degrees Celsius while running BFBC2 on Ultra inside the case. Good thing I had the MSI Afterburner OSD running in-game, so I noticed the temperature spike right away and quit before my GPU got fried.
ohwell.gif

But then again, the stock GPU cooler sucks. Now I rarely go past 70 degrees (30 degree ambient Philippine weather) with the Gelid Icy Vision Rev 2.

^ slade, if you were talking to me... it's an Inno3D GTX 560 Ti with an aftermarket Gelid Icy Vision Rev. 2 GPU cooler. The GTX 570's around $100 more. A bit out of my budget at that time.
