Listen I understand the frustration

I am furious myself

But maybe because I resigned myself to things not getting that much better because the Dems did not get a blowout in 2020. I have been predicting Manchin will **** things up for months

It sucks, but these plans come off as a way to cope with the disappointment. Which I completely understand, but that doesn't mean it is a solid plan to actually make things better.
I can’t guarantee it would work, but come 2022 without another boogie man they are going to get buried. Also, this isn’t frustration.

They got to cut ties on Manchin in order to prop him up as why people need to vote more Dems in

And Biden need to use executive orders to compensate for the lack of congressional support (and hope the SC doesn’t reneg all of them) and built good will towards his presidency.

The only reason to not cut ties with Manchin is they would have to believe he would support a new Voting Rights act.

I think they need to realistically get an idea of what they can and can’t get out of someone like Manchin over the next 12 months and act accordingly.

But they also gotta internally realize that how the GOP has acted about January 6th is a reflection of the party as a whole and acknowledge what they’re going against even if they strictly do this privately.

If Manchins ******* only impacted Manchin, by all means let him show his *** and take his own L. But his ******* can undo progress and voting enthusiasm elsewhere and impact races way behind his little coal mining state. It’s layers to this. That’s where the question of how to deal with him comes into play in my opinion.

In all seriousness though. They need to find a way to answer the Manchin/Sinema situation within the next few months to where it’s less of a roadblock leading into the midterms.

Assuming the GOP take some form of the house/senate, Manchin and Sinema are much less useful to the GOP after November 22 and I’m sure internally they realize that. Whatever leverage they hold now goes bye bye the minute the GOP takes either back, so Manchin and Sinema stand to gain more of whatever their personal interest are playing ball within the party they align with.

I'll take the judges from now until 2023

I'm tired of the left ignoring the judiciary
That’s fair, I think they need to take that chance. This whole ****-show shows how even during a deadly pandemic, mass civil unrest, climate disasters, and an attempted coup. They aren't doing enough to overcome the rampant failures in our system, even for a short while.

There are inevitable political inflection points by continuing down this path. We talk about 2022 and 2024 like the game isn’t already positioned to put whatever scumbag can emulate Trump the best into power. There is a certain point the Democrats have to do something drastic or they are destined to lose anyhow.

That would be true if it wasn’t for the fact their personal financial portfolios are already set. Politically the best they could do is exile. Anything else would have to be targeted at the industries they represent and that is tough when lobbyist are paying off everybody.

Can't get a realistic idea conversing with bad faith actors

You’re right. And that’s where I’m along the lines of figuring their interests and positions sooner rather than later and how to work or not work within them.

If they want to play games. Put them on blast as rogue contrarians, and find ways to get them out the paint. Make them aware that unless they’re being paid off. They’re irrelevant once the GOP regains power. Make it as uncomfortable and inconvenient for them as possible.

Problem is neither of them care. They are weilding their power now and when time is up

They'll gracefully bow out and eat it the private sector. Sinema seems fine being primaried and booted. Manchin will probably not seek reelection

If they cared about gaining and maintaining power the BIF/BBB would have been passed together and not stripped to ****

Their handlers have given them all the cover they need

They can't be shamed. Legit threats to them make them victims and once again will somehow become an attack on progressives and their constituents in the media

I know that’s the inevitable on the last part. But my question is how much does the Dem base really care and will it or will it not impact races if those two clowns get put on blast and get what they deserve. Because if the base doesn’t care and there’s a path to victory. Throw them to the flames.

Because the GOP can call Omar a terrorist and say all sorts of out of pocket stuff and it doesn’t impact them in the slightest way and the moral high ground stuff shouldn’t be a one way street. Probably helps them amongst their base too gop wise.

Man it’s just frustrating knowing those two clowns are messing up a legit golden opportunity. And my takes and talking points right now are subpar and emotional and I could articulate myself a lot better. I’m sipping and watching this 49ers game while your Hawks are off until Tuesday but somehow found myself embroiled in this thread lol.

Theses defense of Joe Manchin are so bad because it ignores all the bad faith things he did

Even today in his statement he attacked the Climate provisions in the bill. But those were changed and written to appease Manchin already.

So he had objections about the original plan. Deployed some attacks against them. The Dems rewrite the bill, Manchin approves to it to Biden. Then he attacks the new policies with the same attacks he used against the old ones

But folk can't call out this behavior because Manchin won in WV.

I wish I could get paid to drop some of these amazingly lazy takes

Yeah at minimum they gotta be put out on front street. At every turn

My frustration is right there with you man. I don't get one answer for how to maneuver this mess

and who knows if that game happens Tuesday. That Omarion-19 list creeping up now in Seattle today :lol: :{

Main reason why I’m not dropping bread on tickets. Ima be in LA for 49ers Rams week 18. I just don’t want to spend like crazy and the game ends up being postponed, especially when my schedule is all over the place as is.

As for the Dems. It sucks. Ultimately they’re going against a racist party full of low information and single issue voters and contrarians who don’t care about facts and context.

And this isn’t blind cosigning the Dems. They got their flaws and deserve flack for them. But they’re also not only going against a crappy GOP, but also the garbage said crappy GOP was able to implement which is ultimately beneficial to them.

Repub’s gonna gain back control of this country and then it’s adios… 😕🤦🏿‍♂️

been nice knowing all of you… 😂😕
In St. Lucia right now.

Might go look at some land for sale next week.

If I pull it he trigger on a cocoa growing estate, all you bruhs are all welcomed. Except Delk.

As long as you dudes are cool with living off the land and making a living selling single sourced artisanal chocolate products.....might grow some cashews too, I dunno. It will be open to free and fair elections to decide the secondary crop

I'm pro union. But ain't one of you gonna tell me we not gonna make dark chocolate truffles. If you all gonna bring that type of energy, best not even show up.
