We can't ignore that too many of these media organizations care more about access to politicians than the truth.

When a debate participant gives an answer that has nothing to do with the question, the least moderators used to do was to ask how the answer was related to the question. That doesn't happen anymore with Republicans - in debates, press conferences, or interviews - because they made it a habit of walking out of uncomfortable situations with the press.

These debates are nothing more than political theatre. With how poorly moderated they are, it’s hard to take them seriously. Biden/trump were really up there talking about golf swings, meanwhile the supreme court is morally bankrupt and one of the candidate is awaiting his sentencing for a criminal conviction.
