Keep in mind, this is what Iam telling my progressive students. They are already progressive, I am not telling them to be progressive.
I have some libertarian and Republicans students and I don't need to give them this sort of advice because Libertarians and Republicans are much more savvy and they have already infiltrated and changed the RNC, they are already willing to vote for people they do not really like in order to get a particular policy goal achieved.
Movement conservatives don't sit out General elections or waste their votes on third party candidiates in rder to "send a message." They vote for "RINOs" or "true believers," in the general elections, they fight to get the most ideologically conservative that they can get in the primaries and they repeat that process over and over and they have done quite well for themselves over the last half century.
