***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Dude we are no integrated, that is the problem.

Black communities are still segregated like crazy, if your upper middle class black, you more likely to be living around lower class middle class black people that white people in your same income bracket. School busing was a major success for black kids, and it being rolled back is one of the reason our school our so bad.

You mention the loan thing,. You like many other black people think it is a combined effort of racist lenders just to target black people, which in some cases it is true, but one of the reason is that black people are segregated into neighborhoods, those neighborhood have a lot of crime, those neighborhoods have a lot of lower income people, and just by algorithm, a black people might be flagged as a higher risk lender and denied a loan. These types of statistical discrimination would only get worst if we separate our selves more.

Because the way our schools or funded, black school would get under funded, infrastructure project would go right through black neighborhoods, police will target black neighborhoods. There will be one giant target on our backs.

There problem is not that we integrated, it is we didn't integrate all the way, and in most cases our neighborhoods are extremely segregated.

Separation sounds nice, but it is a major hustling backwards move.
I appreciate the effort you have placed in your response, but I disagree with your final point. If this country collapses financially again, and it will, we are going to see how and who does what for whom. Waiting on white america to come to the table with fairness, ain't gonna happen. White people are going to look after white people, and if you think that they are going to help anyone else outside of themselves, you'd better quit right now.

You still posting nonsense.

I thought after getting your thread deleted for calling minority children crack babies, you would call it a night.
Buddy, she did teach in a class with crack babies in South La. I'm not calling minorities crack babies. Stop flagging my posts.

-You have no idea if any of those kids went through being exposed to crack cocain in the womb

You trying to rationalize your bigoted comment

Are you coming from an angle of disagreement or is it just something that you don't understand?

Not at all.

And before this turns into an argument my wife is a loan officer for the biggest mortgage company in America so I'm not speaking on this from guessing or something I read on the internet
Again, wells fargo, mortgage discrimination. It is not limited to that bank either.

My woman is a loan officer therefore redlining does not exist lmao One thing is for such the ignorance on here never ceases to provide sheer lulz

In 2016 given what I know about receiving a mortgage and the options avaible to you I don't see how anyone

Wells Fargo is a **** company and did discriminate.

However in 2016 given all of the different options available to people, as long as that credit is good you good.

Explain redlining.

Have either one of yall bought a piece of property in the last 2 years or nah?

I bought my current house here in Dallas and a investment property in one of the most crime ridden parts of Detroit.

I didn't emm go through my wife's company for either one.

Do I think certain companies prey on minorities? Sure.

But in 2016 I don't think the the statement "Black people can't get fair loans" is true.

oh great, oppression olympics :rolleyes |I

so Trump's Sec of Defense pick has some skeletons

But Flynn's own record with classified information has been called into question during his military career. On at least two occasions, his handling of classified information came under scrutiny by the US military.
Two former government officials with direct knowledge of the issue tell CNN that while Flynn oversaw intelligence in Afghanistan, he shared classified information with Pakistan on terror networks responsible for killing American troops. The intelligence, the sources say, came from another agency. Flynn wasn't supposed to share it. They say he was trying to convince Pakistan to stop sheltering terrorists.

So it's ok to hand deliver classified info, but having it in your email is a jailable offense. After watching that clip of his RNC speech all I can do is :{ hypocrite to the one billionth degree :|

Explain regentrification.

Regentrification is a separate topic and debate from "Black people can't get fair loans in 2016"

My bad autocorrect refuses to let me be great. Discriminatory lending practices are still very real. I could also argue that given its 2016 there's no excuse for ignorance, tons of info literally right at your fingertips.

This article is from yesterday

It still happens

So just so we are on the same page, because two companies discriminated against minorities, no Black people can get fair loans in 2016?

I'm not even going to debate this and I'll actually provide a somewhat of a solution. If anyone wants to buy a home in a minority neighboorhood PM me.

Dude you're down playing the discrimination black people face in credit markets. So what if it is not universal

It still goes on, it is a major problem, and it is unacceptable.

How are Black people not given fair loans?

This is terrible logic man.
laugh.gif

And I don't think anyone is saying that all black people will not be given fair loans.  I think folks are saying that discriminatory lending is alive and well.  And it is.
