Making (South) America Work Again.

Since the start of Trump's campaign in June 2015, companies he owns have requested at least 190 foreign visa workers, according to Department of Labor data. The workers were hired on a variety of different U.S. visa programs.

Donald Trump's vineyard is looking to hire foreign workers to start just days after he's sworn in as president.
In a filing with the U.S. Department of Labor, the Charlottesville, Virginia winery says it will need six workers to work six days a week as farmworkers and laborers. The pay is $10.72 an hour, and the temporary jobs are expected to run from Jan. 31 to June 30.

Trump is a joker. On why he is hiring foreign labor:

"You cannot get help during the season. The season goes from like October to March. It's almost impossible to get help," Trump said during the campaign, when asked why Mar-a-Lago hired foreign guest workers. "And part of the reason you can't get American people is they want full time jobs."

So they're not going to take the jobs that are there...

Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin say on the same day they want to build up nuclear arsenals

Donald Trump said Thursday that the country “must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability” — hours after Russian president Vladimir Putin said his country needs more nukes.

The President-elect made his unexpected pronouncement on Twitter — minutes after an unrelated message about his campaign catchphrase, “Drain the swamp.”

“The United States must greatly strengthen and expand its nuclear capability until such time as the world comes to its senses regarding nukes,” Trump tweeted.

He did not elaborate, leaving it unclear about whether he was saying the country should add to its nuclear arsenal or merely modernize it.

President Obama has reduced the size of the country’s nuclear arsenal, and introduced a 30-year modernization plan that’s estimated to cost up to $1 trillion.

Asked to clarify what Trump was saying, his spokesman Jason Miller did not, saying in a statement that Trump “was referring to the threat of nuclear proliferation and the critical need to prevent it — particularly to and among terrorist organizations and unstable and rogue regimes.”

The Trump tweet came after Putin, who has exchanged kind words with the soon-to-be commander-in-chief, said in a speech that Russia needs to “strengthen the military potential of strategic nuclear forces, especially with missile complexes that can reliably penetrate any existing and prospective missile defense systems.”

“We must carefully monitor any changes in the balance of power and in the political-military situation in the world, especially along Russian borders, and quickly adapt plans for neutralizing threats to our country,” Putin said.

There were reports during the presidential campaign Trump held a peculiar curiosity about America’s nuclear powers — something that terrified his detractors.

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said a national security expert who briefed Trump said the businessman asked three times in one hour-long meeting why America isn’t using its nukes.

Trump said during the campaign he wanted to speak one-on-one with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un about nukes, and urged Japan and South Korea to build up their own stockpiles so they would not need to rely on American defense.

His transition website says he plans to modernize the American arsenal “to ensure it continues to be an effective deterrent.”

South park had it right with those ******* member berries. Cold war... the re-run. :smh:

Russia and america supposedly have around 7K nuclear warheads EACH. You can already blow the entire planet up. What is the point of expanding?

I also apprecate the more even handed israel posts on this page and agree with many of the sentiments shared. There is plenty of blame to go around. I have a hard time imagining trump helps the issue but i guess you never know. Rex tillerson supposedly has good relationships with the arabs brcause of his line of work. i just can't imagine that's enough. It's going to get worse before it gets better.

ISIS thanks the US for supporting Israel's settlement expansions in the West Bank from the bottom of their hearts. They've given them the best and most efficient recruitment tool imaginable. But then again, that's what they want, isn't it? People like Drumpf are more than willing in meeting ISIS halfway to this global war they both have a hard-on for.

Anyway, for a young Muslim living in the west and who is susceptible to extremism, the West Bank settlements aren't so much about territory. They don't really know the hardships of everyday life Palestinians face anyway. No, it's more about honor. Not so much the land itself, but the fact that Israel backed by the US and others steps in and casually builds settlements on Palestinian land. It's more a symbolic act of western domination and having Muslims submitting to them. And that's what really irks them the most, more than any everyday life of Palestinians-related issue.

Legit dangerous rhetoric there...so much for the Cold War 2.0 being on hold since Hillary lost  :smh:

Makes no damn sense expanding an already humongous arsenal and flushing all that money down the drain

I think people got used to wars not happening on US soil and don't realize that although we will win SO MANY PEOPLE WILL DIE. Not to mention the damage that would be done.

Speaking of Russia, they're basically using Syria as a testing ground for their newer conventional weapons...

#Russia - #Syria - - Russia managed to test over 160 new weapons in Syrian operation: defense minister - RT News - https://t.co/v4aC0uzcqu

Some real sadistic stuff when you see the human toll of it in cities like Aleppo

So massive tax cuts, infrastructure "spending" (aka more massive tax cuts for the private sector, not the way it should be done) and expanding wasteful military spending :x :smh:

Our deficits are gonna be ridiculous, and all for unnecessary ****

And in the background, Paul Ryan will be unleashing austerity hell on the middle class and working poor.
