people keep saying that because Republicans control both the house and Senate, so why would they turn on their president?
there's two answers why. 1) he's not really their candidate, and 2) when all the truth comes out, they're going to be on the wrong side of history.
that said, these are Republicans we're talking about. they'll go down in treason with Papa trump before they risk fulfilling their wet dreams of lower taxes and fewer environmental regulations.

I hope the Dems don't fall for Turtle McConnell's trap,he's floated the idea of having Merrick Garland head up the FBI which would leave an open seat on the DC circuit court for tiny hands to fill...
That last line is exactly what I'm thinking too,nothing outside of Il Douche getting indicted will get them off the ship it feels like. They could care less about what happens to the country and it's institutions as long as they get to rollback Obama era regulations and give tax cuts to the wealthy. They've been on the wrong side of history throughout their careers,I don't think they give a crap
