***Official Political Discussion Thread***

To paraphrase Obama, GOP deity Reagan would be rolling in his grave at this whole mess

Some guy on FB made a good point about how Trump supporters are talking about Make America Great Again but are out here worshiping three of the most anti-American groups in the country's entire history :Confederate generals, Nazis, and Russians :lol :{ Collectively these groups have directly and indirectly killed MILLIONS of Americans

If ninja is simply uniformed or stubborn - you are simply a douche bag. I know it plays well to your audience and all.

Now tell me I'm in my feels after a page of your personal attacks on him & clearly being in your feels.

I don't call people names and stuff much on this site but I'm sorry this is much overdue.

Like damb b.
I see where you're coming from but you don't seem to reciprocate that when Ninja crosses the line far beyond petty insults.

As you may have noticed in this thread, most of the conservative posters in here are perm banned for racist remarks. So it's tough to judge our tolerance for opposing views when the vast majority of opposing views came from racists and bigots, hence why they are now banned.

Personally I hardly agree with Rico x Hood on anything but we can have a good discussion and while he has repeatedly insulted my nationality in the past, we have moved on from that and have had some good discussions when he was still here. Personally I'd like it if he came back.

I do agree that attacks on Ninja's living situation are crossing the line and I have even defended him on that but that doesn't stop him from repeatedly mocking my chronic disease and nationality in the past and mocking my disability on at least 2 separate occasions. I don't report personal insults as they don't bother me but I don't think you're seeing the full picture of Ninja here. Yes, there are unprovoked attacks on Ninja. But you should also be aware that Ninja has a far longer history of unprovoked hostile remarks. He has never apologized, admitted to wrongdoing, ...

And honestly, considering what some of the other conservatives were perm banned for, Ninja should've been perm banned on dozens of occasions.

Here's some examples:

Has repeatedly made diet racist comments, for which Meth has called him out on several occasions

Repeatedly mocked my chronic disease and nationality without provocation

Has mocked my disability on at least 2 separate occasions, again without provocation

He defended Trump mocking a reporter's disability

Tried to turn the earthquake disaster in Italy into a personal attack against me by posting a thread about it with "Lazy Europeans step it up" or something like that in the title, which referred to me not making a thread about it. Meth closed the thread and reprimanded him for this

Repeatedly makes disparaging comments about African-Americans and their struggles and the LGBT community

For example, he compared a child wearing other sex clothing to "pretty much like raising a neo-nazi"

He has implied the LGBT community supports NAMBLA by suggesting there is a very strong link between the LGBT community and NAMBLA

He does not support equal rights for the LGBT community

He has referred to the transatlantic slavetrade as a "cakewalk", while comparing it to the arabic slave trade.

He has repeatedly said systemic racism is no more than a liberal fantasy and there is no such thing as systematic discrimination against people of color. He also denies the existence of white privilege. These are white supremacist talking points that are easily debunked by scientific studies and statistics.

He does not believe voter suppression exists, which disproportionately affects African-Americans and other people of color. There are numerous court rulings against race based voter suppression and even an admission from a North Carolina GOP strategist explicitly stating that NC's voter ID law was designed to disenfranchise black voters.

He does not believe stop and frisk is racially discriminatory in practice, despite a NY court ruling it as unconstitutional in the state.

He looks down on welfare recipients when he lives in government subsidized housing, while simultaneously bragging about making lots of money and not needing the government assistance.

He has also made several comments looking down on fastfood workers despite being formerly employed in that industry himself.

There's a lot more of course but perhaps this will give you a better picture. And again, yes I agree comments towards Ninja are out of line at times, but he's no innocent party in this. Meth has also said that and called him out for his hypocrisy on at least 2 occasions.

Da rookie rusty needs to tolerate da ninja's intolerance b

Libbies always want people to be educated on topics before discussing them :rolleyes

It's more the constant talking down on him stuff.
But yes he does need to tolerate it. We all do.

You got be trolling with this.

So you're gonna act like Ninja uses the best tone with me and others? Where were you when he was calling me an immigrant that should say he loves his country or I should leave America, where were you when he was misrepresenting my words in one thread to talk about my family in another, where were you when he calls me a snowflake, demagogue, Spinnin Rusty or Rookie Rusty. I just return the same energy he puts out on NT. I do it to give him a taste of his own medicine. So please, don't come in at the last minute and act like dude is a victim.

And I don't have to tolerate Ninja's clear misinformation on economics, nor his disregard or disrespect regarding issues facing the black community. I will forcefully argue against obvious misinformation and lies

Like I said though,a few of us in this very thread were finding all these connections to Russia very fishy during the election even before the man straight up asked them to hack his opponent :lol

Everything that's come to light after hasn't helped tone down those concerns one bit either

It's interesting. There are 3 timescales on which trump threatens to do major damage.

Short timescale (months to years): threat to civil rights, minorities, immigrants, science/medicine, etc.

Medium timescale (years to decades): threat to our democracy and institutions

Long timescale (our lifetimes and longer): threat to the climate, threat of nuclear war

But it's all worth it for da COAL!

If you follow this thread many topics have been discussed in detail, ad nauseam. But of course that won't quite fit into the contrarian narrative. Ninja, echo chamber etc seem to be more pressing matters.

You can choose what conversations not to engage in, ie i'll pass on the endless back and forth between Rusty and Ninja. Ninja is a stubborn, misinformed, uneducated, unwilling to learn bigoted misogynist that was left back 3 years in HS; no I don't have to tolerate anything he spews, he has nothing to offer me here. He's not a new poster we're not familiar with, and Rusty is just spinning his wheels as if he enjoys the torture at this point.
Rusty loves to argue

Admittedly I do too. I have to stop myself from engaging with Ninja sometimes.

On Russia though, honestly prior to the election didn't think much about it, but the more I got informed about the investigations, information warfare and Russia's role, Black, Manafort & Stone and their history of immoral lobbyists tactics in Washington (basically invented them) working with some of the worlds most brutal dictators and now embedded in Trump's advisory panel (Stone & Manafort), Flynn's connection etc. etc. it's evident there were connections.

Supreme Court just handed the NC GOP a huge L today with not reinstating the voter ID laws

I've also kinda tried to steer clear of the circular back and forths,it's gotten like Tom & Jerry :lol

Stone's legit career MO has always been as a political hatchet man using underhanded tricks to get what he or his clients want :lol. Dude also idolizes Nixon so I wasn't all that surprised when dude attached himself to the orange wave.

Before the election it was mostly a lot of conjecture based on circumstantial evidence but ever since,we've had countless solid connections coming to light almost every week,so much that you can't help but think there's some real fire...

Not even mentioning tiny hands acting out in the most incriminating/guilty ways possible whenever he gets the chance :lol

Trump would never admit this, but Stone basically molded his political career. The whole go full piece of **** angle is undoubtedly Stone, that's why I don't doubt his other practices like a give/take and funding from dubious foreign sources during the campaign.

I just don't understand his supporters. His whole campaign was based off being an outsider. What's the first thing he does? Bring Roger Stone, the embodiment of the worst of the worst of DC politics, onto his team.

But I haven't heard one trump supporter express any concern or outrage over it.

Taking a step back, this whole thing makes me think that we're seeing the ripple consequences of the smartphone era. While put to good use it increases information exchange and brings a positive benefit to society as a whole, it also provides a space for parasites to thrive (like Agent Smith in the Matrix). We're seeing this not just here but globally. Over the next few years I hope society and government and technology grows and accepts these new challenges and enacts smart fixes that will prevent another trump from happening.

I don't enjoy it.

If people have notice that me and Ninja don't even debate political idea like we used too. Because I'm not gonna waste time explaining something Ninja won't grasp. Either through stubbornness or ignorance of the basics

It is literally debating reality at this point. That's why I call him a troll. He takes issue with stuff that can be easy disproven, then he backtracks to claim victory.

Letting Ninja be free to live in political and economic Bliss is one thing, but he is not gonna demand I live in an alternative reality

Talking about "draining the swamp" while having the guys that created it right beside him. The ultimate elitist insiders (In both politics and finance) preaching against elitist insiders and and the people just ate it up. Openly feeding them policy ideas that really only benefit billionaires. It's actually incredible to watch. Makes you want to study the entire thing (if it made any money).

My worst fear is that the left in America becomes as incompetent and unappealing as some of the left wing options we see in Europe.

Macron and Merkel are cool but they are centrist. Corbyn and Melancholy Bernie are completely buffoons that will put ideology above all else.

It is disturbing to me how many of my progressive friends watch Jimmy "You know Obama is the real racist" Dore, and think he makes good points. :x

John Oliver's piece on dialysis is one of his better ones. Very good investigative journalism by his staff

---------------Let it be known, Nixon was a white supremacist corrupt piece of ****. He did so many things that destroyed the fabric of this country. From destroying the people's trust in government to the Drug War. But not all his politics offends me.

But I would take him over most Republicans walking around today. Dude actually knew that government should try to make the lives of people better. And he wasn't such a paranoid jackass, we would have universal healthcare in America. Until the GOP goes back to the party that worries they politicians are "too conservative".

I would love to have a system like France and our 4 major options are Bernie, Hillary, Mike Bloomberg, and John Kaisch.
