To an extent ... the point is, there is no way in bloody hell this guy is turning on Trump without EVERYONE being on board with his actions ... People inside the administration knew about this guy's arrest in July at the latest ... There was an August news article basically vindicating Trump's Russia ties that was clearly related to Papa Doc's capture ... They were doing damage control 3 months ago ... He may not have known, but he sure as hell will play the game now that he realizes his foot in the door comes with a good soldier agreement ...
I'm telling you, just as every good Mob movie never trusts the guy who talked to the feds, the architects of this presidency aren't stupid ... Look at the dudes resume, he is not about that whistleblower life ...

Look back to my second to last post in this thread. I said people shouldn’t get their hopes up that this will be he dagger that brings Trump down. I’m more so questioning the nonchalantless of Trump supporters saying these charges are not significant to the Trump campaign.

Catalonia's (Spain) now impeached prime minister Puigdemont has traveled to Brussels earlier. The possibility of granting him asylum or safe stay in a Belgium embassy has been brought up by several members of our government but he said he wasn't here for that.
A few hours ago he went to the Brussels Press Club, basically a press room for EU reporters, to give a conference.
He stated that he came to Brussels simply because it is the political capital of the EU so he could speak freely and reach a broader audience.
Tbh I thought the Catalonia crisis would be going worse at this point. Still a bad situation though and the Spanish government isn't very open to cordial dialogue to say the least.

Why would a "volunteer" lie to the FBI about his involvement in the campaign/Russia deal? Son was described as a "proactive cooperator". He probably had a wire on him the last 2 months, lord know who he was in contact with.

It was YOU that was the victim of the crime at the train station and not your teacher. If there no complainant which would be YOU in this particular situation there is no crime. Shortly thereafter YOU gave a statement to local authorities and gave a list of names and description of said suspects in question.

I don't see any scenario where Catalonia peacefully (or not peacefully) leaves Spain. I hope instead Spain will make a couple meaningful concessions and that things don't get violent.

Son told me Barry Goldwater would have been the best president, Syrian refugees (who get screened thoroughly) are terrorists, and that Lincoln was the worst president because he treated southerners like criminals (treason?) and he caused their economy to tank by not compromising. Also said Fox News is the truth.
He also said Obama should have let the economy tank instead of saving, but his argument against Lincoln was that he hurt the economy of the south by freeing slaves too fast. So apparently he's cool with the market forces letting the economy tank, but when morality hurts an economy it's not ok...
Dude was really successful with a construction business that got government contracts, was well-traveled internationally, had successful kids, and was well-read. But clearly just read works by people with views as vile as his. He also loved engaging in whataboutism, and obsessed over Hillary Clinton.
If you want to see someone's colors, just pay attention to what they give the benefit of the doubt to. This man was appallingly racist. And so is John Kelly.
