Barack Obama was trying to get universal coverage done, not single payer.

I can understand why a conservative would be against the single payer, but they should be for universal coverage.

-And lets remember, most people in America get their heath insurance subsidized (or provided) by the federal government

i don't even get that tbh. you are paying for it as a society in one way or another.why intriduce unecassary complication when you could just go single payer and control the costs.

i mean i get why some americans are culturally opossed to it but on pure logic i dont get it.

Me neither. It would be much cheaper and more efficient to go single payer.

If you hear most Conservatives tell it; before 2009, everyone just traded chickens for medical care, the invisible hand of the market cheaply and deftly healed our wounds and all was well before the state ruined it all real Americans.

The fact is that we already had tax incentivized employer insurance, student insurance, students on their parents plans, medicare, medicaid and uncompensated emergency room care.

Obama gave us the most conservative healthcare coverage expansion plan available and tea baggers still said he was a communism socialist dictator.

Obama was too soft from the get go, especially when it came to punishing Wall Street; however, the opposition against him has been historical in terms of its intensity and its irrationality.

the link you posted says

"A pure universal single payer health care system would be paid, in part, through taxes based on income replacing insurance premiums, copays, deductibles, etc. All plans would have the same benefits and networks. This would replace our multi-tiered system that rewards income with quality care."

not obama care.
single payer exists in the united states as we speak. Its just not full fledged single payer with all the aspects. Medicaid, Medicare, federal employee benefits, and state and local government benefits all use single funds. the delivery is just a little different

I saw a video of Bernie Sanders, highlights from his political year from 1987 or 1988 to 2015 and wow, he was really fighting for the low income/poor class. I kind of feel bad for him because he's been fighting his whole career. I think Hilary is just getting picked just because she's a woman and people felt bad for her last elections that she had to drop out against Obama.

And thats why I call BS on people voting on Hillary because she has "more experience"

Da hell outta here

those things arent obama care. they existed before obama care.

and it single payer isnt about a single find, its about only having one insurence plans where the goverment decides how it pays for healthcare. not a market.

you said obamacare is single payer. it isnt.

you said trump doesnt have a healthcare plan he does.

im trying to help you out man with some info you may not have known

Exactly

ACA from the beginning was already written like a slightly center left compromise. Even after getting the public option removed one would have thought that any reasonable "fiscal conservative" with an ounce of humanity would be on board. It became a center right plan

No price controls, subsidies to buyers, all private plans, no real threat to drug companies, etc.

But have people like Ted Cruz tell, it you would have sworn Karl Marx rose from the dead, took the form of Jonathan Gruber, and wrote the law with blood of Fidel Castro being used as ink

You should look into the united states national healthcare act from 2009 and the expanded and improved medicare for all act from 2013-2014 so you can understand more about how the new system was implemented

why would i do that? im just correcting a small error about trumpcare and obamacare you made.

socialized medicine did not exist before barack obama in the US are you kidding me. Your lost

He doesn't have a health plan.. you need to understand he wants privatized insurance, not something like hillary care or obama care. It will go back to the way it was before obama passed the ACA.

If you could buy insurance from any insurance company in your state, what sense would it make to not allow to buy from an insurance company stationed out of Cali if your from ny?!
Insurance companies need to go back to being insurance companies... Not DOCTOR.
a. He does have a plan. he's not just releaing obama care, but replacing it.

https://www.donaldjtrump.com/positions/healthcare-reform

b. obacare is mostly privatized insurance, just with medicare expansion to cover those who insurance wont cover.

c. Sellign across state lines is dumb because regulations for how insurgence can be, sold, what standard need to be met are handled by the states, selling across state lines defeates that purpose, all the insurance companies would just encorperate in the state with the laxest laws. like corperations do with delaware.

also selling insurance isn't like selling cars, you have to create doctor networks, deals with hospitals, and a new insurance comapny would have to compete with deeply deeply entrenched monopolies and duopolies making pointless, 99% of insurance companies wont bother.

some states have done this, allowed out of state insurance companies to be sold in their state. and it does nothing, becuase its too difficult for outside insurance comapnies to penetrate the market.
cl-1b is against states rights....

what kind of conservative would support that?

guess who ends up paying for hospital debt that is never repaid ....

wink.gif

capitalistic socialism...

lol congress enacted a nationwide program what are you talking about. They just got away with it by throwing a first right of refusal in the legislation.

See the thing the leftists won't admit is... obamacare is essentially single payer with a few slight differences. Its still socialized medicine without the full blown single payer system implemented. But the insurance is paid for by the state and federal gov't. It also cost around 2 trillion as well

Demographics that Hillary carried in FL (exit polls):

Black vote: 78%
30-44: 65%
45-64: 74%
65 & up: 74%
Hispanic vote: 69%
Women: 67%

Drumpf in FL:
Black vote: 0%
30-44: 47%
45-64: 47%
65 & over: 46%
Hispanic vote: 27%
Women: 40%

He's still only really tapping into one segment and barely has a majority of that. He's getting crushed in the general.

She does have more experience at the higher levels of government though.  And that isn't a knock on Bernie's career because he's been doing his thing for a minute now.  But it isn't necessarily the same type of experience, if that makes sense.  I'd imagine the depth of experiences from being the SoS outweighs being a senator.  Both positions are high on the food chain in D.C., but obviously a SoS has more access to the inner workings of a presidency.
