Centrists throughout the industrialized world spent the last 20-40 years collaborating with the right, crushing unions, destroying worker solidarity, creating a borderless world for capital, displacing workers in the global south, demonizing those displaced workers, allowing the financial sector to dominate economies, allowing consolidation of capital, conflating multi culturalism with the aforementioned assent of capital and generally wrecking any semblance of a civil society.

A social Democrat was unable to undo all the damages in one election in one country. Time for centrists to declare left politics a failure.

Stand for nothing and you’ll never be disappointed. Fight for a better world and you’ll have to face a lot of heartache.

Labour lost two elections under Corbyn. The second worst the first.

He has proven not to be a good party leader, and is wildly unpopular. More unpopular than that rancid bigot Boris.

Also, like I said a couple years ago to you, UK socialist should not have aligned with the Conservative bigots in voting for leave. They helped bring about this reality.

I don't care if another leftist runs Labour but it is clearly time for Corbyn to be replaced. He has been a failure and is dragging the Labour Party down.

I just want to clarify it is not Corbyn's policies I hate. I fact I support his platform from what I have seen. I wanted Labour to win.

But as a party leader, famb has proven ineffective and lost twice. He gotta go for Labour to move forward.

I am so terrified for my friends and family in the UK right now. And scared for all the innocent people that didn't want this BS, and will be hurt by Tory rule.

It may well be the case that the Labour Party could benefit from a new leader.

No matter who leads them, it is hard to build or even maintain an effective front against barbarism. A big reason for the political terrain be so unfavorable for economic justice is the decades of work done by ostensibly left or workers parties who were colonized by capital throughout the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s.

It is hard to reverse a systemic dismantling of the working class and civil society or at least it is almost impossible to do so within a few years. That fact is also terrifying because we pretty much have to do just that if we are to undo these economic, political and ecological crises which are poised to destroy us all.
