***Official Political Discussion Thread***

Your response, as is typical, did not address the post but rather pivoted to move the talking point. Instead of taking note that there's dissent among the ranks, you move to point out that the one unifying factor for most in here (anyone but Trump) somehow proves your theory that this thread is a "liberal echo chamber." Unfortunately the fact that there's a wide breadth of discussion and arguments belies your notion of this being a circlejerk. The fact that rexanglorum rexanglorum and RustyShackleford RustyShackleford are going to fistfight in Temecula over Bernie criticisms belies your assertion that this is a circlejerk.

Or is this a liberal echo chamber only because nobody in here, in their right minds, sees a benefit to the world with Trump in charge? What exactly would be your standard to eliminate this "echo chamber" tag you've assigned?
Rex don't want deez pocket sand problems in his life

Send that man home to watch Grammarly Ads every time he wants to pull up a Chapo Traphouse clip on YouTube

Fair point
Unfortunately your point is also true. Bernie Bros need to sack up and vote Blue no matter who. Because I'm confident Joe Budden, Doc Sanders, Lizzo, literally anybody in the democratic party, would be better than Dotard Trump.

Get aepps20 aepps20 on the phone right now. You'll need more than pocket sand to stand up to pocket socialism, my friend. rexanglorum rexanglorum going to drop a phd-thesis-weight Peoples Elbow from the top rope when you least suspect it.

I believe the rationale is things will get so ****ty in the next 4 years that America will be forced to make a change. Its a bunch of people who come from a position of privilege who are willing and able to sit back and watch things get worse because it doesn't necessarily affect them.

Those people forget about the courts. It’s 1/3 of government and LIFELONG appointments.

In 4 years you pass a law.....great but it’s declared unconstitutional and struck down. You are back to the same spot.

Trump could quit tomorrow and his agenda would permeate in the justice system for at least a decade. Think when Trump is re-elected most of your prime working life will be defined by Trump policies.

My Bernie bro friend just told me he isn't going to vote now
Let me guess. When it looked like Bernie was about to win this thing, ole boy was talking that "Dems should unify around Bernie" steez.

I am seeing this weird argument from some people I have talked to; that Trump is only everyone's problem if Bernie is at the top of the ticket.

Almost like they are being, what's that word, starts with a "H" and ends with a "ypocrite"

so after pages of critical evaluation of each dem candidate’s weak points and strengths, dwalk31 dwalk31 restates his ridiculous claim of this being an echo chamber simply because the posters have systematically skewered the actions of the current president and deemed him the least palatable candidate based on facts.

Rusty avoiding Rona. Probably the fighter I'm most proud of. Rex had no answers. Rusty was avoiding the socialist combos like they were nothing.

I will say the last few episodes of as da echo chamber turns have been quite hilarious.
Rex gone off the deep end over bern dawg’s campaign. Rusty turning down a royal rumble cage match with Rex. Man you libs make for good comedy.

Who would win in a Steel Cage Match between Biden & Trump?

You brought up the echo chamber and circle jerk, not me.

You're right, I pivoted from that and asked if there are any posters that are not "anyone but Trump."

I fully acknowledge that there is dissent amongst posters.

Some other poster brought up an echo chamber/circle jerk. Not me.

meanwhile, in a functioning modernized nation-state:

It took less than two hours for the first user reviews to arrive after the federal government’s Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) online portal opened Monday morning.

“Successfully applied for the #CERB at 6.01am … Fully expected it to crash. It didn’t. Easy as pie,” tweeted one applicant at 7:26 a.m. who goes by the moniker Suburban Voyeur on Twitter.

“I clicked literally three boxes,” she later added in response to numerous other applicants who appeared to have found it just as easy to apply for the special benefit program for those out of work because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I'm sure somebody with time could pull the numerous times you've insinuated this is an "echo chamber." Maybe I tagged you as a way to show that maybe, JUST MAYBE, this thread isnt what you claim it to be. Or, if your baseline requirement for "echo chamber" is what I described previously then maybe we can all acknowledge that you're not here for actual discussion; rather it would seem instigating and playing victim is more your speed.

The Far Left need to realize politics is a long game can’t just take your ball and go home because you didn’t get enough of a liberal candidate, it’s more than just about Biden, it’s about the Supreme Court and the Federal courts down and at least having candidate in office who feels enough pressure to pander to you. Can’t skip steps in the process.
QFE.
Help me understand why some Bernie Bros are opting to vote Green Party rather than voting for Biden in November?

What is the benefit? Saw a lot of people of twitter defending this.
Not everybody in an authoritarian regime is poor, and many people outside the circle of decision makers in authoritarian regimes are well-off. That is where you can find many Bernie supporters who will not mind a second term of Trump, as those are the ones most likely to be unaffected by most consequences of his decisions. One thing about 2016 that is seldom mentioned is that most poor folks voted for Clinton. Most poor folks chose the least terrible candidate because if there is something that the lived experience of poverty and insecurity teaches you, it is that you take whatever is in front of you because there is no guarantee that something better will appear tomorrow.
