It is little ironic that when I said that black people, who didn’t vote for Bernie, should have voted for Bernie, I was told that I was condescending towards black people and that black political preferences must not be second guessed.

Today, I’m seeing black people, who don’t support Kamala being told that they don’t know anything and that they don’t know their own oppression.

Can we agree that if you like and support a candidate, it’s okay to want people, who don’t support your candidate, to change their minds and support your preferred candidate?

Politics is about persuasion and it is okay to regret not being able to persuade people especially people who you feel are natural allies?

Otherwise, Biden has said a lot of racist crap but Trump is hardly in a position to criticize someone for being racist,

It's possible that Kamala is bad at stuff that political Julie's like me hate but normal people won't care about fr the VP.

I don't think we've given Biden enough credit. Or his campaign team. But even that, he's done a good job of conveying a down-to-earth, old-fashioned campaign, even though his team is probably heavy on the analytics.

From what I've seen today, the more suburban-type Democrat or middle-ground person who wants to vote against Trump is pretty ecstatic about Kamala Harris being VP. For better or worse, for a lot of people this election is about returning order to our institutions while also embracing progressive values (for example, BLM but don't defund the police). Kamala Harris fits that niche pretty well.
