If the Dems get a trifecta they will pass a big stimulus bill. But that will probably be in late January at the earliest.

probably a huge tax bill as well. That’s what we’ve been telling clients as well. Question become will they make it retroactive to 2020 or is it 2021 on.

I'm not very educated in civics or politics, but can anyone explain to me the reasoning for not getting a stimulus passed? I would think that would help him get re-elected. The perception would be he cares for regular people.

Given they will still need the center left Dems to pass it, I think there is more of a chance they delay them kicking in until 2022 if they can.

At best—he’s posturing.

At worst—it is a petty response to the other side allegedly not negotiating in good faith.

Either way, this is terrible news for families that need assistance during this difficult time.

He doesn't care for regular people. There's your answer  And neither does Mitch McConnell. They're concerned with one thing only. Power. So they'll focus all their efforts on tangible things that give them power. Like a Supreme Court Justice and not stupid things like making sure people can eat and pay their bills.
