generic conservative pretends to want to band abortion.

I agree there are true to the game believers and people just go along with the game to keep the coalition. But I still feel you are underestimating how far gone the average American conservative is.

The social conservative politician wants and all out ban on abortion, the generic conservatives will vote for through such restrictive abortion rules for clinics that they will all shut down in the state, might try to pass laws that criminalize traveling out of state to get one, and pass heartbeat laws. We have already seen previews of this. Even if some conservatives are fine with Roe, fine with women having some reproductive rights, they will still indulge social conservatives on some level with their nonsense.

In theory they might be different, but If you are a young woman in a red state, needs a abortion, in practice how are they really if they pass a restrictive heartbeat bill and other nonsense are in place?

I bounce in and out of NT (years at a time haha). Every now and then I check some stuff out but never log in. A year and a half into a Ph.D so I don’t have too much down time. COVID hit the clientele hard so work has slowed down (still get paid the same) so now I have some long breaks for the time being.
