Ideally, pardons during the lame-duck period should not be allowed, that way a president can be held accountable by the voters for any corrupt pardons
You’d need a constitutional amendment though.
As I always say, he’s entitled to due process. Meaning he’s innocent unless/until he’s proven guilty.
This is the reason I keep the same energy no matter who the allegations are lodged against.
This allegation, alone, is an inadequate reason to shift support from Warnock.

I work with the state legislature in Texas, so I get to see and hear about Abbott every day. He will definitely run in 2024. I've never seen a guy pander to the far-right like this guy. Everything that comes out of his mouth is a cheesy slogan geared towards ruling up his base. He's a the JV version of Bush. The scary thing about him is he's really just a massive dork that is bitter and vindictive, which is a dangerous combination.
Google Abbott and Jade Helm and you will understand.

....and to nobody's surprise
Sure, if we want to be pedantic about it he lifted a finger. He has the party by the balls and has strong armed then at will when he wants to get something done and he hasn’t done that. So I understand why he says he hasn’t lifted a finger. The public veto threat and calling out of the $600 payment doesn’t qualify as lifting a finger?
While I can understand your logic somewhat, the reasoning doesn’t really work well in this situation because Trump can still run again in 2024. So this would be like any other first-term president who made post-election pardons. He can still be held accountable by the voters should he choose to run again.
He got the second most votes for president in history. From what I’ve seen, his base doesn’t seem too bothered by these pardons. And his influence over both the party and his base seems quite strong.
So while I understand the logic generally, I’m not sure it’s applicable as it relates to Trump.
I see you are back to your old Trump defending selfThe public veto threat and calling out of the $600 payment doesn’t qualify as lifting a finger?

That didn't take long

Mueller cared more about protecting this country's image than he did about protecting this country's future.....
